This thread is being created so people -- generally, those people who can't seem to resist talking about off-topic junk in the Target coupon thread -- have a place to talk about shopping at Target and other miscellaneous matters.

All you folks who hang out in the Target coupon thread, start hanging out here instead! When you've got something relevant to post about Target coupons, please post about it in the Target coupon thread! We'd love to hear about it, but NOT about your dog, your cat, your mom, your genital herpes, your... well, you get the idea.

usually there are multiple filters to clean weekly, when you take out the bucket to dump reach up above where the bucket is and twist that grey thing there are usually 2 filters in it and it also gets really filled with dirt...plus the reg filters to rinse...i hate vaccumes, I still havent found a good one. I go thru at least 2 a year...ugh

hey dpags, question, I just checked out the deals thread, i saw where you just posted that the LF coupons shouldnt be reposted, is there something wrong with them? Just curious before I try to use them
I don't know. I was just posting that if they were deleted (as opposed to "retiring" with the retired thread) that the person that reposted them, shouldn't have. I don't mean to assert that they are not valid, just being b*tchy, I guess. Sorry - Sadwalk

Question for anyone that uses a vaccum (Teehee). I need a new one. Not today, but soon. I seem to need a new one about once a year or so because they always "stop sucking". I need a sucker!!! One that sucks for a long, long time!!! Any suggestions? heart
Target sells Dysons Whistling Seriously though, I got a dyson ball at T (there was a GC deal to go with it - seems they run them every couple months). I heart heart that thing - it sucks pretty darn well!

Yep, clean that thing out - actually, I removed that one last week because I got tired of cleaning it. There is also the one in the "tray" just beneath the dirt bucket. Clean that one every time I use it too. Really, my house isn't that dirty - I'm kind of a neat/clean freak, so it makes me sick that they get so dirty so quickly. That couldn't possibly all be from my house Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)!

I wondered about the Dyson - I look at them every time there's a gc deal or clearance but I don't want to spend that kind of $ if it's just going to last as long as the crappy ones I already buy. If they really last longer than the regular ones, I'll try it .... anyone else have a Dyson they [still] love? BB, how long have you had yours?

Oops, guess I don't vaccum enough, because I don't go through bags that often

The one we have at work is bagless. First time I tried to take it apart to clean it, I looked at it, dumped the canister and put it back together. Fark that!

I've never had a Dyson, but I've never heard a complaint on them either. Everyone on here raves about them.

Well, I've only had mine about 6 months, but my cleaning lady has had her's for years and still loves it (and yes, I do see the irony/idiocy in that statement) laugh out loud

Seriously??? You need to pick your battles with T. Are you really going to call corp and say that you looked at some inventory checker site online and saw that something was maybe in stock, but when you called the store, they said it was OOS, so you're thinking that one of their employees is hoarding the sale merch? First rule is usually don't call, but if you do call, you have to either trust what they tell you or live with the fact that you alerted someone to a good deal and they jumped on it.

The phone is ringing over here today!

Pray Nono j/k

IIRC, they are about $2.54 or so at target - HTH

Definitely, thanks C4VS

Other than that, I don't have anything deals related to post, but aparently nobody else does either so I don't feel too bad Wink
1) Amen!

2) The phone is ringing off the hook!

3) I didn't say take it to the Target Chit Chat Wink Let me go edit that to Take it to the Lounge. They'd LOVE to see some of these posts over there Rofl2

wave Hey there ladies. Smilie Ugh, tried to find a second tag reader so my kids wouldn't have to share but no luck. Supposedly there are pink ones at another store, but then I realized it was the nazi "no printables" store. Will try anyway, or possibly get another store to post-sale coupon. Sigh. Might drive up to search for the books, I live pretty far from Kmartland though.

I wish I had a Dyson. Maybe that might make me want to clean more...nah who am I fooling? I need a roomba that will walk up split levels and do stairs. And go around toys. And clean up hairballs. laugh out loud

I've had mine for over two years and it still works great. Usually I was buying a cheaper vacuum about every year, sometimes every 18 months. $90 adds up over the years. I bought the Dyson via HSN for about $190? It was an after Christmas special, came with the little toy Dyson as well.

I bought a Dyson when the first came out. Still have it and it works fine. When I lived in Europe I bought a 220V because they recommend you don't operate the 110V on a transformer. When I left there I sold it for almost what I paid for it.

I bought another one when I got back to the states after buying this 2 story house Annoyed ( I hate stairs ) and keep one up there so I don't have to tote that thing up and down stairs. They are worth the money IMO.

The deals thread gave me a damn headache EEK! I'm surprised SMomma didn't lay that one poster out OMG

I have 2 vaccums - 1 is a Riccar and it is as old as the hills - it really does work admirably and I use it for carpets inside & out. I also have a little workhorse which is an Electrolux (I think with all the attachements ran about $125) - it has AMAZING suction and a whole bunch of attachments (and includes a REALLLLLLLLY long hose ... great for stairs!!!!) Also great to take out and clean out the car. I LOVE IT! It will however suck up small toys (a pro or con depending upon the day/child Wink ) Both have bags as I think the bagless have less suction, put out more dirt into the air, and I have to spend too much time cleaning them! These are easy - like I said both work hard, do a great job, and apart from having someone else vaccum which might be nice - I recommend them. Oh and at the vaccum repair shop where you can buy used/refurbished vaccums of all sorts they had Dysons, Dirt Devils, Eurekas, Hoovers, etc --- my lil Electrolux had better suction then ALL of them! Hee Hee

Yeah - if I had seen the altercation with your buddy I would have had words with the accoster as well ---- wth?????

Double - how do we know if you like us? LOL

Teri - will resend - where did that PM go???

Did a quick run today - everything went fine, but then I wasn't getting much - harder to save - easier to get thru quickly LOL The trikes and such are still selling for the LOW LOW price of $60+ sigh! No tags on clearance/sale. No peelies - no frozen stuff on clearance - I did see Dole fruit packs for $2 and I *think* there is a $1 coupon out there somewhere. Also, I saw that Lunchables were on sale this week for $1.25 --- I believe there are $1 off lunchables packs out there from the inserts a couple of weeks back. I would think .25 would be a good price .... I wonder if they would lose their integrity if frozen? Anyone know?

Hmm, all of you complaining about me, I never once got a PM explaining where the coupons went and why. That's all I was asking. Different people tried to be helpful and explain it and it took a while to get the answer. Is it really that big of a deal? Get a life!

I ''mommy-slept'' until then also, but I feel like complete and utter sh!t. The baby, the only one NOT in school, got a runny nose for ONE day then passed it along to both me and DH -- who was just talking about he never gets sick.

For those of you that dont know what 'mommy-sleep'' is, it is when you are technically sleeping, under a pile of children watching TV but only enough that you still here every word/noise the kids make and still break up arguments over the channel flipping.
I used to do the mommy-sleep thing all the time. I worked night shift at the hospital for about 15 years. I used to work all night and come home and stay with the kidsRoll Eyes (Sarcastic) not alot of sleeping got done, but I rested some. Then would nap when they napped. I looked forward to nap time so much back then. Well, lets face it, I still doBig Grin

I thought we were the only people who did that. We used to buy a new vacuum every year on black friday when they had deals.. The things wouldn't last a year though. One time I had a garage sale and had 3 or 4 broken ones in the garage. I just wanted to get rid of them, but someone actually paid me 5.00 for them all.. Anyway, we bought a dyson 3 years ago. Got the ball one, and we love it. It is so easy to empty!

I can't get motivated to shop lately. I NEED to go to target. Coupons are expiring. I want to get some cottonelle, and I found some of the cesar b2g1 qs as well.. Hoping for a run this week before we leave to go out of town. We are headed to Myrtle Beach.. Any SC folks here new there?? I wondered what my shopping options are??
