OOHH and teens!! Let me tell you, my oldest "angel" is on my bad side tonight as well. ..... They took their showers and are getting ready for bed and Alexa comes in and asks to read. I am still pissed, so I say no, but then think that is stupy bc reading is good for her, so I tell her she can. Sucky, sucky turn of events tonight!

The crazy thing is I never used to let the kids play outside by themselves. I think it is too scary! But J insists that I have to "let them grow up" and that "Alexa is old enough to watch over her sister." She has always done soo good in the past, but all it takes is one time.......
Oh Hon!!!! I am so so sorry! Those kind of things are so scary and make one so angry! I would have had a cow ... or a whole herd of cows!!! GRRR!!!!!! Sending HUGS & calming thoughts to you!! (OH and I hear ya with the reading bed times stories ... those don't go here either) Oh and yup my oldest girlie is in trouble again - she just earned back the clothes she lost and then last night lost a whole new set! She also was grounded for 2 weeks for being TWO HOURS late coming home ... and is now grounded again!!!

Hmmm - maybe the guys should go and be single again - less work around the house! LOL

Sending HUGS - Hope you have a better rest of the evening!!!!!!!! hug hug

Well at leasy Alexa is just a kid. DH told me that his sister lost his 5 and 3 year old niece today. They were all outside and mom ran in the house with baby. Sister who is outside with the 2 girls runs in the house to go to the bathroom. 2 hours later the cops bring the girls back and a citation for mom. Seriously, WTF is wrong with his sisters?! OMG if I were there I'd bitch slap them for starters? Oh and they don't live in the greatest part of town. Aaaack! That scares the shit outta me!

OOHH and teens!! Let me tell you, my oldest "angel" is on my bad side tonight as well. She and her sister went out to play with the neighbor kids. Hide and seek. Alexa knows the rules, if you are taking your little (not even 3 years old yet) sister with you NEVER let her outta your site! NEVER!!! Well about 30 min after they left, we hear kids at the door. They ring the doorbell and my bro answers (I am still in my nightgown since I just woke up). They are teens and say something along the lines of "Is she yours?" and point to my smiling sweetheart, Soph. I am in the living room like this: Jawdrop They said they are playing hide and seek and can't find Alexa, so they thought they should bring back Sophia. Ranting I call Alexa. She doesn't answer first time. I call back IMMEDIATELY!!! She answers. I say "GET HOME!!!!" and hang up. She knows she is in trouble. I ask Sophia if she is ok, she says "Yes momma, I pooped for you in my diaper" and is again a smiling fool!! Doh (thanks kid shake head) ANYWAYS, Alexa gets home within a minute and is promptly grounded from everything. They took their showers and are getting ready for bed and Alexa comes in and asks to read. I am still pissed, so I say no, but then think that is stupy bc reading is good for her, so I tell her she can. Sucky, sucky turn of events tonight!

Planters trail mix is 1.99 at Publix, there is a 2.00 FLIP out right now, so free, the Revlon q is a Publix q that they put out all the time in their health and beauty flyers.

Long weekends spoil me. It's too early to get up for work!

I've gotten Wall-E, Ratatouille, and the School House Rock collection lately. All were 13.99.

Scary kid stories!! YIPES! :hugs:

There's no way I could just run in the house for a sec without taking the little one with me. She has no sense of boundaries, danger, etc... She's my hard-headed daredevil. If she didn't run off she'd do something to practically kill herself! I would be surprised if I could not leave her alone when she's 12! My oldest DD, though, has done well with observing the rules and such.

Thanks for the well wishes. Smilie I still feel yucky, so I think after hubby gets home I'm gonna skip the meds and take the wine. LOL

When we were stationed at Eglin AFB (years ago), we lived in base housing, which tends to all look alike. DS slipped out of the house and disappeared. We were frantic. We had the neighbors looking on foot and in car. We finally found him 3 blocks over. There was a guy working in his garage and DS had stopped to ask him if he was having a garage sale. With DS you couldn't take your eyes off for a minute, and God help you if you fell asleep at night before he did laugh out loud

The sisters are old enough to know better...in their late 20's. Bigeye

If I was in the same state as they are I would seriously lay the Smack down! I was appalled when DH told me the story. Note to self, they would not be good babysitters.

Good morning. Poor lil guy had a rooting tooting not so good of a morning. He wakes me up with his grunts and toots. This should get better with time as his digestive system matures.

That is scary.. I am the same way. wouldn't let my kids play outside alone for years.. When we first moved here 6 years ago, my kids got mad because they were only allowed to play in our yard where I could see them. The other kids seem to roam the neighborhood. Now I do let them go out since they are 12.14, and 16.. But I still don't let my 12 year old go to the other street up without one of the other kids with him. I see the girl next door who is 6 or 7, walking up the street to play with the kids on the corner all the time. I always think it would only take a brief second for someone to drive by and snatch her up. It scares me!
