Went to the store with the bad update tonight. All sizes fit just fine. TQs still rang up as Store Coupon $0.00. Didn't try the Starbucks again, I should have but didn't. The Wheat Thins are my DS' fave crackers (that's actually what he calls them - my favorite crackers) and are only $2.04 so awesome deal with the $2 coupons I still had exactly 5 of.

So I guess that scare is over...not sure wtf happened, but I hope it doesn't happen again!

EEK! On the kids stories. DD has to be not more than two steps from me and usually holding my hand when we are out in stores and such. My older sis, who lives in a smaller town outside of Denver, lets her daughter out of her sight (around corners and such) when in stores, etc. while visiting here in SFL. I freak out when that happens and am always telling my niece to come back over here to where I can see her! Older sis thinks it's no big deal, but it only takes a second for someone to snatch her up an go and my sis wouldn't know it until it was too late. shake head I keep telling my sis that we are in a different environment here than where she lives in CO.

Oh! And don't even get me started about how she lets her DD (freakin' 2.5 years old!) just run up and down the sidewalk and crosswalk a good distance away from her near busy parking lots! OMG I'm usually flipping out at this point and telling my niece to come back over here!! They are very good at giving me heart attacks when they are here. My sis thinks I'm too protective of my DD, but with the crime that happens around here I'm not taking any chances. And, I even tell me sis that even though it may seem like nothing ever happens where she lives, it could always happen. You just never know! I'd rather be safe than sorry.
This is one thing my mom has taught me. Grew up in a small town on the outskits of Omaha...we're talking less than 500 people. I remember my dad leaving his keys in his truck in the driveway overnight and I have left my car unlocked as well as my house on accident. We used to give mom a hard time when she would have us "police" the yard for our bikes, toys, etc. Everything got put away and locked in the shed or garage. Or when she would get up to make sure the doors were locked we would say she is Crazy but it is true, no matter where you live...even little freaking Mayberry, anything can happen. You have to be aware and proactive.

Same here. The older kids play in the backyard by themselves (they are 13, 10 and 7) but if the toddler is outside, I'm outside. I'm not comfortable putting that kind of responsibility on my oldest. She does babysit for an hour or so while I do errands, and does a great job, but being outside is so different when you are talking about a fast as heck 2 year old. LMAO
We are out in the couuuuuntry here. My oldest, who is 11 y/o, just started Middle school. He rides the bus while I carpool the 1st grader and pre-schooler to 2 different schools. Pickup time is squished together and sometimes 11 y/o gets home 45 seconds b4 we do and it got me thinking the other day....what if I'm even later due to traffic or some freak thing at the carpool lane that holds us up. He'll be here all by himself, so I have decidied that next week on Wed we a re going to do a mock "Mommy's not home yet" drill. I will leave him Grandmas cell # to call immed and a to do list to keep himself busy and safe until I get home. All the while having Grandma parked at the neighbors house, watching him from a far.

I do let him ride his bike down the street to meet up w/ friends and ride back and forth but recently one of the kids showed him the 'watermelon field' I lost it the one day I couldn t find him on the normal route so I said no more watermelon patch until I see where it is! I remember being 11 y/o and where we would go and what we would do there! EEK!

I'd have to say that the Rose Petal Cottage and Nursery Set my DD got for her bday Rock'ed!! She loves playing with that thing... It's been so cool watching her 'change' the diaper on her 'baby' (CPK with really curly hair!!), put the baby down to sleep and then go to the stove and 'cook' for the baby. I had also gotten a pot/pan set with spoons/spatulas and such for her as well. These were all at 75% off last year. woot I can't believe how imaginative she is getting! Oh! And she asked to have the 'baby' sleep with her tonight in her crib. heart

I haven't seen that show, but my younger sis was telling me the other day of a show she watched (I think it was this one) where there was a guy/kid that acted like Michael Jackson throughout his car getting repo'd? She had me cracking up with the antics of the show with that one. Do you know if it was this one?

Teri - Hope you feel better soon... I never used to get migraines, had alot of them in the last year... just figured it was stress, but boy some of them knocked me right out. On the couch, no noise, no light... So hug hoping it goes away soon.
hug thanks all, I just woke up, with a headache laugh out loud

I hope you have good insurance. Just looking at the ER costs me $100 up-front (the real fun comes later when the bill arrives).

At least they didn't try to quarantine you for H1N1...........yet. Coverlaugh
I work at the hospital, I'll be interested to see what happens. I just went for a headache. I guess my blood pressure was high and my heartrate was around 140 (who knew laugh out loud) anyway, thats why all the xrays, tests, etc. I just have to stop back by employee health and let them do vitals in the morning, then call my regular doctor. Probably was so high because of the headache pain. Darned stressful job Annoyed

I hate hate hate being sick. Frown

I also hate donkeys. Okay, I know freerolls are "free", but some folks actually want to play poker (and not "how many times can I go all-in without being busted) because they don't have access to other opportunities to play. GRRR!!

Okay, thanks for letting me get that out of my system.

I wish my brain wasn't foggy. I need to order some q's but can't get it together.
