I also hate donkeys. Okay, I know freerolls are "free", but some folks actually want to play poker (and not "how many times can I go all-in without being busted) because they don't have access to other opportunities to play. GRRR!!

Okay, thanks for letting me get that out of my system.

I wish my brain wasn't foggy. I need to order some q's but can't get it together.
I wish your brain wasn't foggy either, because I have no idea what the hell you just said! Confused

I see nothing wrong with keeping your kids close by.

There is this little girl that lives at the end of our street. I think she is 8 (she just started 2nd grade) she spent the WHOLE summer just riding her bike from house to house until someone would play with her. She would be gone ALL DAY. The mother didn't know any of the peoples homes that she went to. That little girl is either going to end up missing or grow up with some SERIOUS attention needing problems.

Because of that (not only that) i always make sure to be outside with my kids or at least at the kitchen table, in front of the sliding door (open) at all times. I don't care how they think it looks, I don't want them missing, hurt, or thinking that I don't care about them at all.
...

Do you live somewhere close to me...There is a girl 2 streets down who did the same thing all summer...And she would always ride her bike barefoot...I always kept thinking there is no one looking after her, what is someone just drives by and snatches her...

Quote from .teri. :
I was always the mom who was out in the yard when the kids were all out playing. It was me shouting "CAR COMING!!". The neighbors used to make fun of me for freaking out about cars.

C4 and Double, I didn't get by the post office today. I have a killer headache. Words to remember: Never go to employee health because of a migraine. I figured they would give me a slip to go home and lie down. The nurse took my vital signs, then got on the phone and started whispering. Next thing I know, they have me in the ER hooked up to ekgs, iv's, taking chest xrays and blood. WTH, I just have a headache, and now its worse! Anyway, I didn't feel like stopping by the PO after all that, just wanted to get home.
Take care Teri...Feel better soon

I'd have to say that the Rose Petal Cottage and Nursery Set my DD got for her bday Rock'ed!! She loves playing with that thing... It's been so cool watching her 'change' the diaper on her 'baby' (CPK with really curly hair!!), put the baby down to sleep and then go to the stove and 'cook' for the baby. I had also gotten a pot/pan set with spoons/spatulas and such for her as well. These were all at 75% off last year. woot I can't believe how imaginative she is getting! Oh! And she asked to have the 'baby' sleep with her tonight in her crib. heart

I haven't seen that show, but my younger sis was telling me the other day of a show she watched (I think it was this one) where there was a guy/kid that acted like Michael Jackson throughout his car getting repo'd? She had me cracking up with the antics of the show with that one. Do you know if it was this one?
awww, we have that exact same set down to the metal pots and pans. It was one of those mismarked items from last year that dh and I found in the blue boxed toys at T Smilie She plays with that set and the pots and pans get loud in there laugh out loud

Sorry for the confusion... lol. I should probably be in bed... lol.

I was playing online poker, and "donkey" is a term used for players who have crappy hand that should not be played and play against all the "rules" of poker. They play them anyways and a lot of times suck out on the river - win - against good starting hands.

It would be like someone playing a 7 of spades and a 2 of hearts against someone who has a pair of aces, Ace/King of the same suit, pair of queens, or even against an Ace/King of different suits. They either bet big to start, or call bets that they should fold to. Then somehow winning with that hand.

Several of the poker sites have "freerolls" - tournaments that are free to play, but have a decent "prize" for a certain # of winners (usually top 1,2, or 3 players out of a field of anywhere from 180-1500 players). People get on and play like donkeys just because they are free instead of playing decent poker.

Three words for you Moms (that hold your children close). Richard Marc Evonitz

I lived outside Fredericksburg, VA when in Sept 1996, a young Sofia Silva literally disappeared off her front steps, they think while doing her homework. They found her dead 5 weeks later in a shallow pond in my county. Then in May, 2007 Kristin and Kati Lisk, sisters from a neighboring county, disappeared from their home. They were found dead 5 days later in the South Anna River.

Richard Marc Evonitz knew their routines and cased their homes. Another one of his captures got away in June 2002 and she told the police. He killed himself after running in Sarasota, FLA. His old car that he had sold in Fredericksburg still had Kristin's hand print on the inside of the trunk. Cold

OMG! That is so cute. I remember all the talk of these last year but did not get any. Wish I would have. We lived in small apt though and not much room.

Sungodess your DD just turned 2 right? Mine will be 2 in exactly 1 month! Man time fliesSadwalk
She does a similar thing with her Care Bear. It's her "Bebe" and she loves to cuddle it and tuck it in. So cute at this age, gotta love it!

This is super scary. Just like the Jaylee Duggard girl that was just found after 18 yrs. Luckily alive, but had been held captive in a backyard for the last 18 yrs. She was kidnapped right in front of her stepfather. She was found about 1/2 drive from where I live. The captor is also being investigated for several other murders in the area over the last 30 or so years!!! EEK! EEK!

Went to the store with the bad update tonight. All sizes fit just fine. TQs still rang up as Store Coupon $0.00. Didn't try the Starbucks again, I should have but didn't. The Wheat Thins are my DS' fave crackers (that's actually what he calls them - my favorite crackers) and are only $2.04 so awesome deal with the $2 coupons I still had exactly 5 of.

So I guess that scare is over...not sure wtf happened, but I hope it doesn't happen again!

Can anyone use some expired $1/2 avocado coupons? They expired yesterday (9/8). I ordered way too many, then got sick; when I was better, I couldn't use them up fast enough. UGH. I managed to give away tons and still buy tons. PM if you want them and I'll send them your way.

When I talked with Alexa about the importance of being aware of your surroundings and watching her sister closely, I brought up Jaylee! I also often bring up Polly Klaas! They are both "local" and are scary situations!! I think it is important to remind our kids what can happen, and why we have the rules we do.

My suggestion would be to ask the person who posts the stockpile photo what coupons they used for the toilet paper. I'm sure they will be happy to tell you Smilie
