dd had terrible colic so she was always screaming. One thing that helped was driving over railroad tracks laugh out loud but really, I would lay her down on my lap, on her stomach, with her head pointing downwards toward the floor (not like standing on her head..just in a downward angle) I would rub and pat her back and then slowly bring her upright and the air would come out. Although, that didn't work all the time. The thing that really really worked was earplugs, for me Teehee
The only thing that worked for us was putting her in the car and driving around. Seriously. I would be bawling and driving, because when my little girl screamed in pain, she sounded like a wounded animal. It was AWFUL, this guttural sort of scream over and over. Frown I frantically called the doctor's office one night because nothing was working, and I couldn't hear the nurse over her screaming. They sent me to the ER with her but by the time we got there she was asleep. Doh THAT'S when we figured out what the car could do.

have you asked your pediatrician about using Mylicon drops. they are available over the counter. it was one of the few things that helped my oldest when he had colic.

bulb question are you nursing? if so from a mom who has exclusively nursed for literally half her life, sometimes the little ones are sensitive to milk products. try cutting out dairy for a couple of days and see if that helps. just a suggestion. Hope it gets betterhug

laugh out loud Teri's daughter is a grown woman now. Smilie I don't think the mylicon is going to help her at this point.

Teri - ugh sounds like you had a terrible time with the headache and doctors. I rarely get migraines but had a bad one yesterday. ugh. Usually chugging caffeine helps me but not that time, was too vomit.

Higgy-baby, car drives did help my kids nap also. It's been a while since they were babies but I remember a time when one kiddo would ONLY sleep in her baby swing. Gah, totally hated it when she would be sooooo tired and cranky but wouldn't go to sleep. Could try white noise, didn't seem to make much difference for me but who knows.

Sorry to hear about the car. Frown

My oldest DD slept like clockwork - 7pm to 7am. . . . .

Have you tried taking your baby for a walk in the stroller in the morning? Maybe the fresh air, exciting scenery, and quiet time away with mom would help. Also, I think you mentioned that you bf - right? Double check your caffeine and sugar intake - my dd is always affected by an increase. (soda, tea, coffee, chocolate) Have you added any new foods to your diet or changed any of your eating habits?

Also, if baby is teething or going through growth spurts - anything can happen during that time! I'm not huge on giving kids meds, but if he's teething you could try giving him a small dosage of tylenol about 30 minutes before his usual nap time and see if he gets sleepy on schedule. He may be in just enough pain to keep him awake.
Thanks!! That's probably a good idea. We both hang in our jammies 'til he takes his morning nap, so that would require me to get up even earlier than he does and get myself dressed. . . but I should probably do something like that.

I do drink some caffinated soda but it hasn't changed (no coffee here). I don't think I've changed my eating habits at all. (I'm hungry as all get out all the time now, though, so anything 's possible. laugh out loud)

I do usually give him the infant acetaminophen before naps and bed. It's the only thing that seems to work w/his teething pains at all.

And he is both learning to crawl AND stand right now (but still won't sit on his own. Boys. shake head) so all this stuff I think is adding up to make him restless.

SB hug My kids went through crazy stages as well. Their sleep would always get crazy near a milestone period like crawling, walking, etc. It was an early warning system I guess laugh out loud
nod Yep, that's all going on right now.

Yeah, he's a pretty light sleeper. Like if I have him in the swing or the carseat and he's asleep, there's no way for me to, say, stop the swing or stop driving without waking him.

OK, I didn't want to jinx it but we've had two awesome naps today. woot woot I'm so happy!! My mom's coming in to town this afternoon and I'm so glad 1) he won't be super -cranky (knock on wood) and 2) I got some cleaning done. Now I still have to vacuum (not doing that during a nap, no way) so we'll see how baby boy enjoys that. laugh out loud

go ahead and get extra copies now. I did that when mine were young and used them all throughout the years. especially since you'll be moving away....btw, when are you moving?
End of Oct beginning of Nov.

Doh I thought twice about getting a second copy. I had to reorder...well actually change DD's BC when DH an dI got married but all that took was a phone call and print the form from their website. I did have to get it notarized and send in the marriage certificate but that was easy enough.

Been using Mylicon...it has been worthless for us. Gave him his first dose of Gripe Water and he is down for a nap. Thank God!!

I rarely drank/ate milk before. Since I had him I eat cereal every morning. I think I will try cutting that out or switching to a lactose free or soy/rice milk.

I am sure Teri has a stockpile of Gas-x from the good ole CVS days. Roll

He took a decent nap in the car when we were running around for his BC and Gripe Water.

You never know. . .he might decide he likes it later. My boy has gone through several hate/love periods w/the swing. Now he's usually happy to hang in the swing and play w/his toys for 45 min-1 hour in the afternoon, which gives me a chance to get some emailing done or whatever.

Ok, Starbucks q is definitely the issue at my closest store. Went tonight, it did the same thing it did last time. Beeped, no prompt for price, low beep. But then one of them worked (out of 3). Bizarre! Cesar b2g1 worked fine in the same order. I Dontknow what the deal is.

Thrifty I'll check and see if the store copies have the coupon. They aren't in the flyer outside of FL it's been reported. You can print them from Publix website. Here's a post with the Link
C4, just got back from Publix and saw that the store ad copies do have the coupons in them. HTH.

Are you sure it's not a right barcode scan thing? I had a similar problem a while back with Cesear always beeping on the first 1 or 2 and then the last one going through. It was totally the right barcode scan.
