Folks - Let the lesser Privileged and the uninsured among the general populace order these kits first. Folks that have Insurance and/or can afford the $50 - please do refrain from ordering these.

Came down with covid yesterday. Flu like symptoms. Only annoying since I have to stay home for 5 days. Whatever.
Take care of that. Had a flu turn into a lung abscess a few years ago.

I wonder how they come up with four test maximum per address?
"Note: At-home COVID-19 tests will ship free starting in late January. USPS will only send one set of 4 free tests to valid residential addresses. We are unable to process duplicate orders for the same address."

Plus even if you have 4 or less people in the household is one test supposed to last you a lifetime? Is there any refill on this?
If you have private insurance, they now cover up to 8 at home tests per month effective this past Saturday per a new rule the White House set. You can buy them and submit for reimbursement.

I wonder how much these testing kits really cost our government………… or to be more exact cost us in taxes?
Well, I can order them myself for $6 each or 2/$11. Simple math using the amount of money they claim to be appropriating and the number of tests they claim to be ordering says government is paying $50 per test kit

Just in time for covid cases to drop rapidly. Current admin should have had this testing problem figured out in the fall but, like everything, they have completely failed. Can't wait for mean tweets in 2024.

Can you ever reorder more? Or is it lifetime max of 4 per address?
I'm guessing Uncle Sam is limiting this to discourage hoarders / resellers and to not diminish stocks too quickly.

Likely, this will be expanded as more stock is available.

We may well be looking at a to-be-determined new variant wave late spring into the summer, especially in the largely unvaccinated/un-boosted "red states" south and midwest according to Dr. Peter Hotez of Baylor this morning.
