If you must go electronic, I'd go with the Helite E-Turtle. $30 refill and you do it yourself. And it comes with a full size CE level 2 back protector.
But I'll be sticking with my tether.

yeah i know, there's always the "you don't HAVE to ride a motorcycle" saying.
Edit: My bad. The drop down size menu didn't work the first time.
LOL..lots of comments from non riders here. If you people are so afraid of life, best you don't ride. Betting fully vaxed, and wearing your mask in a car too. No generation is more fearful than a millennial.

Yes actually they do when you're a track racer (he was). Sliding is a main technique on the track and its known to be useful on the street. If you can't avoid crashing into a car there's no law you have to,hit head first. Dude tried to go in low and sideways. You see some people even slide under trucks and come out ok
"Mastering the Art of the Motorcycle Slide"
"To get through each corner, motorcycle racers must slow down, turn, and accelerate. Sliding, with both wheels still spinning, makes it possible to slow down and turn at the same time, allowing the rider to aim the bike down the next straightaway and accelerate out of the corner. And these skills aren't just for racers. Muscle memory for dealing with an incipient slide can help regular street riders avoid a crash."

If you use this device and have insurance there is a good chance the insurance company will reimburse you for the vest. If someone else is at fault, then you're definitely entitled to reimbursement.
The other thing is, you may regret later not buying such a vest. SO here you have a couple of more motivations to buy one. To the guy who said helmets no matter the price won't save you, that's
not true. In some circumstances a helmet will save your life. I prefer ot wear a helmet for general riding comfort anyway.
So how is this going to prevent spine compression or movement? It's just for rib fractures. Which are common. But no biggie and heal in 6 weeks
