-SDD and ram are low, but not hard to upgrade if need be
You pay dearly for more RAM and/or SDD space. This is the sweet spot at the moment
$309.99 - $200 Amex = $109.99

Should have two slots so 8gb module will upgrade it to 12gb

Having said that, if you're in need of a short term computing solution, this is a pretty good deal but in a few years you're going to be wishing you had a more robust processor.
In fact, I would say if you are a "light" or typical computer user who doesn't do "heavy" multicore tasks like compiling code, video editing, etc. you might wonder why you would pay more.
Even "light users" can appreciate laptops with better screen brightness and quality, lighter weight, better build quality, and longer battery life.
I've bought 13" XPS and Spectre for those reasons, and leave "heavy" tasks for my MBP and desktop.

also the WM HP 15in with 4500U from well over 1 yr ago is still a kick ass deal!
