Reddit seems to dog on these headsets:

Other reviews don't seem to be as... 'Reddit-y'. Lol:

Anyone have these, and can provide feedback?

I wouldn't be using them for gaming... mainly for meetings in Zoom and Microsoft Teams.

Occasionally I have to watch instructional videos in YouTube, Lynda.com, or O'Reilly, and sometimes I have to take (or teach) a class or workshop online.

I'm currently running this cheapo set of Logitech on-ear headphones (w/ mic) that our IT dept gave/loaned me.

I'm not even sure what model they are (or how to tell), but they're USB-only. It'd be nice to have something with the option of USB or an AUX cord.
(the best option would clearly be Bluetooth, but when I went from a laptop to a desktop at work late last year, I didn't realize the desktop computers didn't come with Bluetooth until after the change had already been made)

Guys and Gals, it is 40 bucks and from Corsair. It works well for day to day tasks. Obviously competitive gamers and audiophiles will be buying a higher end headset. So, be a little realistic of the expectations here.

I'm also looking for a wired headset to replace some Sennheiser headphones I bought on a black Friday a few years ago. I really don't care for a microphone. :-(

Probably best to think of your budget because you are covering a lot of options: wired-3.5mm audio jack, wired-USB, wireless.

If you only need them for business purposes, you probably don't need the ones with surround sound, Dolby 7.1, etc. I also like listening to music, so I like the headphones with the 50mm drivers instead of the 40mm drivers.

I'm using a pair of Steel Series 5 that I enjoy (wired USB or audio jack).

These will work just as well as any other $40 headphones, and potentially better. I ordered some previously and they ended up being way too tight on my head so sent right back. They did sound fine, though.

Obligatory "the sound is good, but the mic isn't that great" post.

I have these and for my Xbox the sound quality is terrible. Tin can sound. But maybe it's just this set

Uncomfortable, subpar mic, average sound, lackluster durability.

If this is the only one in your budget at $40, it might suit basic needs for short periods.

Got these last week from another deal and I find them to be incredible for gaming. Comfortable to wear and much better sound than the XoFOUR I replaced.

I have had these for about a year as well and use them for gaming. They're very comfortable and the sound is good for gaming/ mic is clear. The build quality is great....they still look like I just got them. For $40 it's a no brainer.

Got these about 1 year back for the same price. Used them for gaming and they work great. Can't comment on the mic since I don't use it. They are good quality IMO.

I have had a few Corsair keyboards, and customer service was fine when I used that. I had an H70 that I ditched because it would just disconnect, but mostly it's their software. It crashed a lot more often than any other utility software I had. With keyboard you just lose macros and colors until you get it going again. With a headset, it's a royal pain.

Build wise, Corsair was and is fine. It's their buggy software that likes to eat profiles that I couldn't stand. If your needs are minimal and especially with the wired ones, it will probably be okay for many. At least with wired it doesn't just cutout entirely.
