Be forewarned! I bought this unit weeks ago from Walmart. Had a problem and contacted Hisense about it since Walmart was out of stock. Hisense refused any kind of warranty claim by saying that Walmart is NOT an authorized dealer of their products, only Lowes and Costco are valid retailers. Be aware of this glitch!

Be forewarned! I bought this unit weeks ago from Walmart. Had a problem and contacted Hisense about it since Walmart was out of stock. Hisense refused any kind of warranty claim by saying that Walmart is NOT an authorized dealer of their products, only Lowes and Costco are valid retailers. Be aware of this glitch!

Actually only Lowes is an official retailer. Costco is not listed on their website for this product.

What kinda problem was it? I wonder if anyone else who bought this from the last deal is also facing the same problem.

Right. Costco is not an authorized Dealer for many OEMs. Hence the reason you get a Citi Card and buy these with it and you have a 4 YR Costco Warranty. Not sure what they would say if you take them back during the 5th year. I've seen folks at Sams abuse their return policy by taking back Microwaves, Convection ovens - with all kinds of stains on them and smelling bad. Sams has since tightened their return policy. Costco might do the same with the newer Retailer dictates prices and policies.

Bought this from woot as refurbished last year. They were more like poorly repackaged. It works well, especially being a dual hose unit. My model has the heat option. FYI you still need the vent outside as it pumps cold ac air out through the hose and warm air through the condenser.

their website says walmart is an authorized retailer https://www.hisense-usa.com/authorized-retailers

but not when you click where to buy on the actual air conditioner, idk maybe they have different authorized retailers for different products I would at least call again and ask again

Mini splits are much better for both. Much quieter too. They're more expensive though and harder to install.
