Mine came with new packaging stickers covering them, but they had pretty noticeable scratches and should have been replaced.
The battery was also completely depleted when I got it and by my estimate, only gets about 80% longevity compared to a brand new one.
The lenses can't really be polished without taking the anti glare coating off and you absolutely NEED that coating if you wear glasses.
But you can get an external USB battery to get over the runtime gripes.

Same people that buy used cars, used clothes, used sunglasses, used mice and keyboards, and any other used items that people buy. Its not like these things are not cleaned to meet standards for resale.
