Seems to me if you do a lot of daytime TV watching OLED might not be worth the extra $$. However, night time movies are awesome.
No signs of burn in whatsoever.

Unfortunately, the room is really thin and there's just not a good place to get seating to place the TV anywhere else. This is not my first choice and am planning a 120" theater for serious watching in another room
We just moved and put our 2-3 year old Sony 75" 950f over the fireplace in the main room and I think its a little too big. Not to mention we need a real wide viewing angle.
We are ok with the brightness of the LED TV. You think we'd be ok with this in its place?
Use will be exclusively for sports/movies.

Sony's use the same panels as comparable LGs (bought from LG), just w/ different processing (Sony's arguably better). I've been waiting for this deal to come back around since November. If your primary use case for this is TV/Movies, it's a killer deal.
HDMI 2.1 would be nice - but is only really useful atm if you're doing high end gaming. Otherwise it's highly unlikely you'll ever miss the 2.1 feature considering how long it will be before broadcasts are 4k@120hz...

I personally would not mount any TV above a fireplace. The extra heat only helps to add to the deterioration of the TV's electronics and shorten its life span.

For now, my PS5 is occupying it which works out.
