Seems to me if you do a lot of daytime TV watching OLED might not be worth the extra $$. However, night time movies are awesome.
No signs of burn in whatsoever.

If you're a HARDCORE gamer, meaning you're sensitive to motion while gaming and/or prefer high frame rates, and you spend countless hours gaming with a PC or console, then you'll want to avoid this and spring for an LG C1.
If you're a casual gamer, but you're also sensitive to motion and want to play video games at the highest possible frame rate if possible, and you mostly want to use your set for HDR/SDR content viewing, then steer clear of this one and go for the A80J or the C1. (This was me and why I got the A80J for the best of both worlds, but all told, one cannot go wrong with either or)
If you could not care less about gaming, and you're very particular about a bright TV, or the environment it will be in has direct light or bright ambient lighting that you cannot control, then avoid this TV and OLEDs in general and spring for a high end LED TV (even the low-to-mid range LED TVs are just about as bright as OLEDs).
Each use case varies, but take it from someone who has the highest end (and very bright) Sony 4k LED TV (950g) from three years ago, as well as the LG C7 OLED from five years ago, I always preferred watching on my OLED. I have my new A80J directly across from the window, but there is a patio that covers the area right outside of the window, so there is only ambient lighting and not direct sunlight coming through. I can assure you, the OLED is plenty bright even in this scenario. I don't ever find myself wanting it to be brighter.
Bottom line: If you want the absolute best picture quality and don't mind closing the blinds or curtains in an otherwise bright room, this TV and OLED in general are plenty bright enough. The price for this TV is an absolute steal.

Even so, 95% of my viewing is with the room darker and I would take this Sony in a heartbeat over the LG.
Buydig had it for 1800 plus a 50 dollar gift card.
Amazon had it for 1620 after 10% back using prime credit card.

How does the C7 compare to the A80J ?
How does the C7 compare to the A80J ?
Edit: I think the brightness I'm noticing may also be due to the increase in size since I'm comparing my 55" C7 to now a 65" A80J from the same viewing distance. Plus, playing video games at 4k/120hz (only have one so far on my ps5) is a whole new experience for me.

I personally would not mount any TV above a fireplace. The extra heat only helps to add to the deterioration of the TV's electronics and shorten its life span.
