The Moto E also has four more Verizon LTE bands (2, 4, 5, 13, 66). The A02s only has band 5.

1. yes
2. unlock is now 60 days (read new policy online, Verizon recently bought company)
3. yes since phone will be unlocked

Be aware this is a very bare bones phone with minimal ram. Know what you're buying & don't expect a lot - for this price you're paying for the service & they're basically giving away the phone for free.

I think you are confusing this deal with the Moto E that I previously posted.

I rather extend time on old(tracfone) phone and so i can unlock as soon as possible. Can i just move the min, text and data from this new tracfone deal to my old(current) phone( with the stash of minutes) so I extend the time on the old phone stash of minutes and unlock old phone?
You can reactivate old phone (again keeping current number so balance transfers back) BUT time to unlock will start over & no one knows right now how that will affect reactivated phones.
Can't just add the plan to a different phone since bundled plan is linked to IMEI & sim of phone it comes with.

I realize that it is currently sold out, but I'm curious, is this Samsung A02S phone as good as/better than the Motorola Moto E that was available for $10 cheaper? Just curious what some of y'all's thoughts might be, on this comparison and if it might be worth waiting and seeing if the Moto E comes back in stock soon?

Moto E usually goes on sale every few months (you can search SD for last few sales) & it might not be anytime soon.
One advantage to Moto phones is they don't have all the Samsung bloat (forced apps that cannot be uninstalled), they're more basic android if that's what you prefer.

Thank you very much, for the prompt response and the feedback. I appreciate it. I had a chance to buy the Moto E, from the deal that was just recently posted, but I was too slow to pull the trigger and it sold out, before I actually bought it. This has actually happened multiple times, because I'm hesitant and indecisive about this type of shit, most of the time. However, I would really like to get one of these phones, to carry my vehicle as a backup phone; as I have a really long commute and I lose service for about 25 miles of my 76-mile commute, and I worry about breaking down, or needing to make an emergency phone call, during one of these stretches with no cell signal.

Do it!!! Buy! You won't regret it. The a02s is a nice budget phone.

I need a backup phone to keep my international number active. Would I be able to unlock this phone after 60 days ? Is there a t&c link for unlock policies that you can direct me to ? Or, how can I make sure I can really unlock this after 60 days ?

Google Tracfone Unlock Policy

Not sure about international number working with TF, might want to contact support & verify

moto e is better, except for the battery, but for an emergency phone, do specs matter? as long as you can make calls?

if it's just going to sit in the glovebox, and used only if your primary breaks or has no reception, i'd go for the bigger battery (samsung) and/or research which phone has most cell bands or the bands on your commute's low reception areas (without reception, no other phone spec matters anyway).

but hey, at $30-50, you can get both?

All I can say with any certainty is that it used to be OK, but Verizon bought all TF companies at end of Nov & anything can change at any time. Don't know what they might have planned for 6 months from now.

It depends how long you want to keep your phone. The moto is better now. It has a better cpu but barely any software support left. The Samsung phone has a better battery & 4 years of security updates which is good for a budget android phone
