Since Verizon took over, tracfone went to shit completely.
I activated a new card to extend my service date, but they completely zeroed out my balance. They refuse to help. Now I have filed multiple complaints with BBB, FTC, FCC, FL attorney general office.
Tracfone did NOT respond, but decide to close my account. Then someone else is in the process of porting my phone # out without my consent. I contacted TracFone, and they don't care and continued the port out.

1500 Min/Text/Data is for one year, not one month.
Tracfone has updated their unlock policy as follows:
For Customers with non-Apple(ie Android/other) devices: TracFone will provide an unlocking code to customers who request unlocking, provided they meet the following conditions:
- If the TracFone device was activated with TracFone service prior(Before) November 23, 2021, then the device must have been active on TracFone Service for no fewer than 12 months with Service Plans redeemed in no fewer than 12 months, and not have had their telephone number recycled or ported.
-If the TracFone device was activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, then at least 60 days must have elapsed since the device was activated.
- The device must be in working condition.
- The device has not been reported stolen or lost, and there are no indicators of fraud.
*Note: Not all phones sold by Tracfone work 100% on other carriers so performance may vary. Ask here or Tracfone for more info on that.

2. unlock is now 60 days (read new policy online, Verizon recently bought company)
3. yes since phone will be unlocked
Be aware this is a very bare bones phone with minimal ram. Know what you're buying & don't expect a lot - for this price you're paying for the service & they're basically giving away the phone for free.

I want to keep that number but move it to this Samsung.
Can I do that?
If so, what is the way to do that?
For those who are sensitive to PWM, this one doesn't have it (no screen flickering at any brightness). I'm hoping that the display is good enough for night-time reading and watching videos.
Both Samsung and Motorola phones have had most network bands for years but reps continue to say they won't work.
Once unlocked (60 days) phone will also work on GSM, it's an LTE phone.
You can search for model number, it will show which bands the phone has.

The A01 has been just fine for me, with the lack of storage being the only negative. Performance is decent.

The referral system gives you up to 8000 points to start. That is $80 in service and depending on what you want you can get more talk text or data. TracFone website shows what is available with reward points that will be spendable 61 days after activation.
