Since Verizon took over, tracfone went to shit completely.
I activated a new card to extend my service date, but they completely zeroed out my balance. They refuse to help. Now I have filed multiple complaints with BBB, FTC, FCC, FL attorney general office.
Tracfone did NOT respond, but decide to close my account. Then someone else is in the process of porting my phone # out without my consent. I contacted TracFone, and they don't care and continued the port out.

Tracfone has updated their unlock policy as follows:
For Customers with non-Apple(ie Android/other) devices: TracFone will provide an unlocking code to customers who request unlocking, provided they meet the following conditions:
- If the TracFone device was activated with TracFone service prior(Before) November 23, 2021, then the device must have been active on TracFone Service for no fewer than 12 months with Service Plans redeemed in no fewer than 12 months, and not have had their telephone number recycled or ported.
-If the TracFone device was activated with new service on the Verizon network on or after November 23, 2021, then at least 60 days must have elapsed since the device was activated.
- The device must be in working condition.
- The device has not been reported stolen or lost, and there are no indicators of fraud.
*Note: Not all phones sold by Tracfone work 100% on other carriers so performance may vary. Ask here or Tracfone for more info on that.

Be aware this is a very bare bones phone with minimal ram. Know what you're buying & don't expect a lot - for this price you're paying for the service & they're basically giving away the phone for free.

Is is true TracFone is known for sometimes not taking points or posting points after they are pending (ie they just disappear), and if that happens it's almost impossible to get someone to help. But I've not had that problem and the program has been good to me if you can make referral's at a decent rate (the program is limited to 5 per month -- so can't go TOO fast as others on this and HoFo can attest to)

Will take advantage of this deal and add as a new line for my kiddo which we will use strictly as an emergency phone for him. Rewards will probably pay for another year on this line and for a 3rd year on the 1st line.
Service has been great with no issues and customer service has been responsive when we contacted them and helped us with any issues. So no complaints.
Way better than having additional lines tethered to our main verizon line and the ridiculous $10-20 access line/device fees + increase in plan charges etc..

If I buy this deal, how do I transfer my previous tracfone number (as well as remaining 6 months of service)?
Do I essentially get 1 year with this deal + 6 month of remaining time from existing tracfone service?
