Everything you said is legit except that you're making a value judgement (cue Eddie Brock meme) by saying that "People need to stop asking questions on SlickDeals that they can get answers to in under a minute, by doing their own research. ."
That is not a "facts."
When I look for info, often an SD thread will turn up in search results. Hence, it is not just for deals, it is also for research. Especially applicable for things with clandestine or clever uses.
Does that make you feel good? Being a jerk?

So Persona 5 Strikers is free on PS Plus and I'm wondering how much this one deviates from that or if they are alike. I'm liking strikers so far so maybe I can get this one to put in the backlog but I if it's too similar, then I'll just pass on it. Thanks!
Strikers is an action game, whereas Persona 5 Royal is a turn-based RPG.
They take place in the same universe, but are radically different games. As an action fan, you might find Persona Royal pretty boring
But if you know you already like turn-based games, or feel like trying one, PS5-R is among the best there are
Nope. It's a standalone title. They added a new character who appears throughout the regular story, and then added another semester on top of that. Basically another 20 hours or so, extra. You could've just googled that in 30 seconds, instead of asking it here. It's easily worth buying again, though. Even at full price.

You claim posting questions like this benefit nobody. But that's not true. I benefited from that question being asked and answered. It wouldn't have even occurred to me to ask.
Thank you for taking the time to answer his question.
Is it possible to play this on PC if you purchase it and do the cloud play or whatever it is for Playstation?
Yes you can play it on the PC using a DualShock 4/5 controller with Sony remote play app. Basically the app streams the game from the PS4/PS5 to PC via Wi-Fi connection.

Sweet, thanks so much for answering. I appreciate it!
Warning to RPG fans: unlike Zelda, Diablo, Skyrim, or The Witcher, this is a "turn-based" RPG, which means you don't get to control your character during combat. You have to sit back and watch them follow your commands.
Not necessarily a deal-breaker, just realize before you buy that it's a more "relaxing" take-turns game and a little less engaging than normal RPGs
Man you got a lot of hate for this but for us people new to persona it was helpful as to what type of game this is. In the past I had bought a Japanese title not knowing that it was a whole game consisting of dialog trees. Not my style. It's on me to do the research of course but I do buy a lot of SD without enough research. So thanks.
I have a tough time finishing 20 hour games these days, how do you finish a 130+ hour game? I do have this game, so far I've put in 13 hours, I've had the game for 2 months. At this rate, it'll take about 2-3 years to finish...
It took me a little over 2 years to finish the original Persona 5, so I can share your thoughts. My final hours count was around 110-115.

Wow, I'm guessing it was worth it? Knights of the Old Republic took me 3 years I think, I went back after I kept hearing it had the most insane twist and it was worth coming back to and beating it.

So basically you are someone who thinks everywhere they go on the internet is Reddit. Congratulations.

You fail to realize there's a SD community where questions are meant to be asked. If we fully depended on Google than Slickdeals wouldn't exist in the first place. Maybe you should delete your account and use Google only...

Yeah it was worth it for me. I really enjoy the Persona series. I did the same with Persona 4 Golden. I'm not sure if I will go back to Persona 5 Royal, but I do have plans to play Persona 5 Strikers in the future. Thankfully, that game is roughly 40-50 hours.

Thank you! I love the mix of RPG and action in Strikers so I'll stick to that one for now.

Really, really, really wish I had time to "replay" this game in its new form.
A must buy at this price for any fan of JRPGs.. or any PS4 owners, really.
