Plenty of people use Mr heater in a tent, just make sure you take a Carbon Monoxide Detector and I would keep it placed off the tent with a wood board or something that won't melt or catch fire easily.

We like them both just the same and this is a great deal!
$54.99
When I lost power for nearly a week during winter I put this on my porch and aimed it inside through my patio door. Of course a CO2 detector is still a good idea. Felt safe since it was outside directing the radiant heat inside. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Mr-Heate...1001333
I have the hose that connects to the regular inlet (not the quick connect), connected to the right side only and use the high setting exclusively which lights up both tiles. The knob (control valve) is what activates the high setting (second tile), and has nothing to do with having the second tank connected as all of the inlets (including the quick connect) are connected to the control valve, not the tiles directly.
Edit: Video showing exactly what I do nearly every weekend. This Dynaglow works exactly the same way.

Intelligence is not overrated.
There is much debate over the value of the blower but I am fan (pun intended). It allows a broader range for the heat. Starting in ~2019 they started selling it without the blower. Then I saw this year, some models have it, some don't. If you have a choice I would go for the blower model as you don't have to use but then have the option. The current price is $150. Around black friday I have seen them on sale for something like $100.
I know people with the big buddies that run it off 20 lbs tank at their cabins (running the hose to the take outside) or even their garages. If you go that route, their is filter they sell. . It filters small particle contaminants from getting into the components. Fitter and hose sold separately. A friend of mine uses his this way and uses it a lot. He changes the filter once per year and has had that big buddie for 5-6 years so it seems like once a year is enough.
This dynaglow is clone, not sure if it has blower but for $80 seems like deal. Also not sure if has the adapter for the 20lbs tank option but again for $80 its a great option for using such as I have spelled out above or as a back option (if your heat goes out due to something like a power outage or running out of oil).

Seriously though, I've never had an issue with mine. I have a normal buddy heater and a big buddy heater. The fan is certainly a nice feature that helps circulate the warm air. It's not a huge difference, but it helps.
The comment above about the multiple tanks is wildly inaccurate. You can run these (big buddy heater) off a single 1 lb. cylinder, (2) 1 lb. cylinders, or get the "adapter" hose and run it off whatever tank size you use. I use a small 5 lb. tank because it's light weight and lasts me all day, and it's a hell of a lot cheaper than the 1 lb. cylinders. Make SURE if you are using the adapter that you also purchase the filter.
And, I'd highly advise against refilling the green Coleman/Wally world 1 lb. cylinders. Yes it can be done. Yes it can be done safely. But, it can also be dangerous as hell if you don't know what you're doing. I'm also fairly certain it's illegal (to transport). Do it right and find get a Flame King refillable kit and a couple extra refillable cylinders, or just spend the money on the adapter/filter/larger tank.
Edit: also, if you're new to these things, they're great for heating up food (if it's you're only option). They have little trays that attach to the front grate.

In my search for a filter and finding out I can't get this anywhere right now, I did some research. Mr Heater is horrible with their attachments and information with which one you need...so hopefully this helps someone else out
SKU# F271803 - is the 12ft hose with the regulator on the high pressure end (20lb tanks), and it is designed for use with the big buddy. It has a quick connect that attaches into the big buddy. To my knowledge no filter is needed.
SKU# F273704 - I think you could also use this as it's supposedly made with a different material so it wont break down and clog the parts on the heater. To my knowledge no filter is needed.
OR your last option is to buy a generic hose and get a filter...but these are sold out everywhere
