You literally have no idea how hard it is to kill your self with these things. We use this every winter, every day, every year, to supplement our oil furnace. Go back to playing Fortnite son.

This looks like a competitor Mr Heater big buddy
Plenty of people use Mr heater in a tent, just make sure you take a Carbon Monoxide Detector and I would keep it placed off the tent with a wood board or something that won't melt or catch fire easily.

I was originally to go the route of buying a fill adapter and refilling a bunch of 1lb canisters...but in the end I realized that's not worth the time and risk

In my search for a filter and finding out I can't get this anywhere right now, I did some research. Mr Heater is horrible with their attachments and information with which one you need...so hopefully this helps someone else out

SKU# F271803 - is the 12ft hose with the regulator on the high pressure end (20lb tanks), and it is designed for use with the big buddy. It has a quick connect that attaches into the big buddy. To my knowledge no filter is needed.

SKU# F273704 - I think you could also use this as it's supposedly made with a different material so it wont break down and clog the parts on the heater. To my knowledge no filter is needed.

OR your last option is to buy a generic hose and get a filter...but these are sold out everywhere
I'm using a 4-ft hose Char-Broil 4633 (available at Amazon - https://www.amazon.com/Char-Broil...B000H25P42)

And the Mr. Heater Fuel Filter F273699 (available at Tractor Supply - https://www.tractorsupply.com/tsc...-_-3000863)

They might be available elsewhere, that's just the first place that shows up on a Google search.

I just noticed the adapter you posted had a regulator and I was scratching my head for a second. I had no idea there was a quick connect option for these things. Good to know!

The big buddy does, this one I'm not sure but I'm hoping it's an exact clone

I currently use a Tank Top heater that screws onto a 20lb tank for when I'm working in the garage and supposedly puts out 15K.

Any pros to this compared to what I'm currently using other than it having 3K more BTU?

Excellent. Now I can return the round one you stick on top of a 20lb tank.

You might be in violation of lease or code (if you have 20lb tank) but you can use it safely. Obviously keep it away from anything flammable and have a working smoke and CO detector just to be safe.
Thank you for that! I was referring to the gas line that is in my room, can I hook this up to it for continuous use and not to a tank for winter

Nah. This heater takes high pressure propane directly from a tank. If you have a propane line coming into your house it is regulated to low pressure.

I have a portable propane gas grill. In an emergency power outage, could I not use it to provide heat ? (would still have CO issues inside house).

Yes you could. Would most likely not be as efficient though but it would provide heat in an emergency.

No, not at all - just explaining the joke/expression. While we're at it, let's not make fun of, or imply extreme negativity of all homeless. We have not lived in their exact shoes. "Many that live deserve death. And some that die deserve life. Can you give it to them? Then do not be too eager to deal out death in judgement. For even the very wise cannot see all ends" - as my quote goes.

I have nothing but respect for those who do everything required to earn an impressive doctorate degree, and then earn money in their chosen profession. Unfortunately not everyone can take advantage of such an opportunity. IMO it's just a shame that educational institutions are almost all so increasingly flawed. However, this takes nothing away from the accomplishments of those who go through the existing system trying their best to be successful.

I would similarly wish anyone who had a painful childhood nothing but the best. What matters in one's life is not past pain, but making a positive difference; even if in small but meaningful ways.

Let's warm up our hearts by safely using this Slick deal. Of course, this only applies to experts taking all safety precautions possible and minimizing all risks. I like the idea of being able to generate some decent heat without the need of relying on anyone or anything else, especially in today's world.
