Plenty of people use Mr heater in a tent, just make sure you take a Carbon Monoxide Detector and I would keep it placed off the tent with a wood board or something that won't melt or catch fire easily.

It is true in my case. Not sure if mine was defective and it almost caught fire. First it started with a weird smell and I was closely watching it and noticed that the plastic attached to the handle started melting and then the left side. Luckily I was able to turn it off. Not sure how this passed the quality control. I have contacted Walmart customer service a created a complaint.
Update: While on hold with their support number for over 30 minutes, I surfed their website to find this product and i can't find a trace of it (even though the manual suggested it). I feel that I've made a mistake with this purchase
Mine works good, plenty of heat. The pilot light is *very* sensitive. Wife says that's a good thing.

Same thing happened with mine. I did the replacement thru the website, my second unit arrived today and seems fine.
*Ok, I found the model numbers, must just be the color.*
you obviously have no clue clue how much regulation and requirement it takes to open a factory, restaurant, car . . . .

Come on, you fill your own gas tank and you think a little propane heater is going to go all explodey when swapping tanks they sell on the camping aisle at Walmart? LOL.
you do realize that the need for above professionals came into place is because the "end user" burn themselves. the reality is that then end user would not know how hot hang a tv on a wall.
when you request to turn on your GAS at the residence. your GAS company sends a person to evaluate your system and appliances, and they check for leaks. this portable propane only has a ODS inside the unit. not only ODS is useless but you have no protection or knowledge if you get a leak at any point between the tank and ODS. and we are not even talking about propane gas and it's characteristics
your stationary gas water heater has more protection than this portable propane heater. Lot's of things can go wrong and the "end user" is just not equipped on diagnosing, fixing detrimental issues.
my point is very simple: propane tank should never be located inside the residence.

I had written a rather thorough rebuttal to each of your rants but I decided this might be more effective in getting through to you.
If this process confuses you...then a "professional" is exactly what you may require.
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
1LB LP tank install knowledge required: Righty tighty, lefty loosey. Advanced users might even dabble in "hand tight" all the way to "snug."
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
Yes, I'd advise you to call a pro every time you need to swap out propane tanks around the house. Hate for you to burn yourself at the gas grill because you got confused how threading works or decided to do that next to your fire pit while smoking a cigarette.
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
If the TV and wall had matching threads, you might have a point. But I think hanging a TV requires permanent modifications to the existing structure as the TV and flat wall do not mate up by design
BTW, do you change your TV after every few hours of use?
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
Again, I work in a highly mechanical field. I know the difference between user serviceable parts, parts that require specialized training, and things that can only be done at the factory. Changing a propane tank is less complicated than changing the credit card paper at a gas pump. Even an error changing the paper could lead to a spark, which could cause a fire at a gas pump but do you think the every gas station calls a "professional" when the thermal paper needs changing? Now, changing the gas pump handle would require a technician and some pump manufacturers might even require factory training or the entire assembly to be swapped out for refurbishment at the "factory."
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
Prefect example of when you need a professional to come out. Now, call your gas company and request they change your 1LB LP tank....see what they say. Please record that phone call.
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
Who is talking about "diagnosing, fixing detrimental issues?" We are talking about CHANGING A TANK ON A LITTLE SPACE HEATER. LOL...wow.
Sorry you were right, this product is beyond some non "professional" end-users. You have proved that.
Like I said, you had no point and you still have failed to articulate one. But cute horse, mighty high horse however he is still cute. Did you hire a professional to install the saddle or did you feel like diagnosing and fixing such a detrimental issue yourself?
So all this talk about code, regulation, professionals, intakes, gas pumps, etc was all about that? Priceless. Clearly you should not be around anything flammable and dare I say, non-babyproofed houses?
Gotta ask...do you pump your own gas??????

Cars explode at gas stations...do you not pump your own gas?
BTW, the: you, me, you, me thing is really old. How many times do you do that per day? I've witnessed it a dozen times so far...always after your comments get voted down to the point of being hidden. Strange the little dance you do but, whatever makes you happy!

You: OMG PROPANE!!! IT IS GOING TO KILL EVERYONE ON EARTH UNLESS SOMEONE HAS BEEN TO SCHOOL TO USE A CAMPING STOVE! I FOUND A VIDEO FROM 2013 TO SHOW HOW OFTEN THIS HAPPENS!!!! *runs in circle panicking unless a "professional" shows up."
Best part? Every single one of those links were about propane devices that were NEVER RATED FOR INDOOR RESIDENTIAL USE. You are one of those who takes his charcoal grill inside his livingroom...right? LOL
Me: Bye bye.
(please no one tell this guy about the risk of pumping gas and static discharges)
