I am still deciding to buy this. So asking this question

Why do you need more than 2 HDMI ports for a monitor?

Can this stand able to turn to portrait mode? Like turning the monitor vertically.

If you want to connect to multiple monitors and your laptop has 1 hdmi, 1 display port and 1 vga port then you have a problem. I have heard of hdmi splitters, but want to avoid using them. I am not an expert on this, others can chime in.

I got this monitor last time. Its pretty nice. I have a semi-un-stable desk so any time I was typing, the monitor jiggled too which drove me crazy. So, I bought a wall mount. Im sure this could happen with any monitor on a wobbly desk but seemed to me to be more pronounced with a bigger monitor. And when I say a wobbly desk, its stable for a sub-$100 desk but its not one of those solid oak office desks that can survive a nuclear apocalypse.

Anyone use this monitor with a 1080p resolution? I have a desktop with a video card with two outputs. HDMI and DVI. HDMI can handle the monitors resolution. DVI can only go up to 1080p.

If your computer only has a Displayport output, HDMI-only is a problem. One of my wife's computers is using a Displayport-to-HDMI converter for a 1440p monitor, and you can see some weird vertical lines in the image. It's kind of annoying. Not sure if all converters do this, but the one we have does.

I've found cables (say DP to HDMI, or USB C to DP) to be much more reliable than adapters. Almost all adapters I used had some weird issues (flickering, ghosting etc.)
