I own this and it's good for powdery snow but anything slushy bogs it down quickly. Also the wheels leave much to be desired. Probably fine for most, but it's not always ideal for Minnesota winters.

Good luck. I just noticed the handle is cracked on both sides on the edges of the rotor engagement bar. Maybe some electronics became dislodged. Staring it requires you hit the start button and engage the bar. Like others said, packed like $H%T!!!

Update on mine...6-10 inches of snow in NYC. The handle was sliding down slightly (considering putting in a set screw) however it wasn't terrible and only 1 side. At times, the auger was still going even when I wasn't engaging the switch on the handle bars. Also, the chute kept turning on its own slowly to the front, so i would set it all the way to the right and by then end of my run it would be facing forward. All that being said, it performed very well. I was able to mine and my neighbors sidewalk (about 200 linear ft) and my walkway and the majority of my 100 ft driveway before the batteries crapped out. If I paid full price, I wouldn't be satisfied with the shortcomings but at this price I'll deal with it for the 3-4 times a year that I'll use it.

Received mine yesterday. Packaging was Terrible. Wheel is completely snapped off, headlight was hanging out if the box almost, and plastic handle stop is broken off. Box looked like it fell of an airplane. Lol. Sent an email for refund since they are closed on weekends. Hopefully they will refund and return?

Mine arrived today, with batteries, manual and plastic battery cover broken off and lose in the box. One significant problem: instead of 2 5 Ah batteries, I received 1 5 Ah and 1 4 Ah. No way you could tell from the battery boxes which version was inside the boxes. I sent them an email.

I got mine. Box was damaged. Everything appears ok. Looks like mine got returned because the point at which the handles pivot is just poorly conceived (either it's super tight or too loose). So I guess I won't be able to collapse it for storage- which is ok as I've got the garage space to spare.

It runs right now. Unfortunately there's no snow to test it with right now.

I also received mine poorly packaged. I also noticed a rattle while unboxing. Behind both side covers I found a total of 10 screws, the same ones used in the blower with the torx head. I used it in today's snow and except for the handle not staying locked, it worked satisfactorily.

Got mine today and this thing is a POS. The handle design is beyond garbage. With mine fully up and locked the left to right movement is ridiculous. There's no way this thing is supposed to have that much play. I'm emailing them and will gladly send them a video and they can figure out what to do with this piece of crap. The box was also open and retapped. No missing parts I can see but there's no way I see this thing lasting 1-2 seasons. Even my $95 SnowJoe electric had a metal handle with a plastic cross piece. This Ryobi is all plastic.

Got mine a few days ago and put it to work today. My handle tends to collapse on the left side when you bump something. Otherwise it works fine. Plowed my driveway and sidewalks 2x on a single charge and got it done in less that 30 minutes.

Mine kept shutting off pretty often, even under light snow.

Anyone know how to stop the extender handle from collapsing? Good thing I'm short because I was still able to have it do its job. Fairly decent for the money but I would not purchase if it was anywhere near the full price.

I'm betting some rubber hose clamps would prevent it from sliding, add them right where the handle slides out.
