The 'affordable' 4 max made in Taiwan instead of Italy with different materials to make it affordable. This is a BIG and heavy (10+oz) knife folks so think twice if you're looking for this as a lightweight EDC.

I bought this on one of these deals a while back and regret it. This thing is huge. Heavy and the action. Sucks, you can't open it with one hand. I was going to return it but a month went by and I'm stuck with it. Now it sits in my toolbox and I rarely use it.

Over 10 oz! So, I could carry this or a Spyderco Resilience plus a couple smaller backups(or another Resilience).

This knife is hefty but it's a solid beast. Well built like a tank.

If I want a knife that isn't cheap and is solid for daily use and will last a long time, should I get this or would you recommend something else?

I kinda wish this would sell out so I don't end up buying another knife Smilie seriously, tho, buddy has one and definitely a beast for a foldable at a solid value...with all the usual caveats around pros/cons of the steel and caring for it properly. Thanks, OP!

I wouldn't buy this knife without having held it in hand. I would assume that grip only fits a few specific hand sizes.

Still seems like a lot of money for a cold steel.

All comes down to weight, budget, and use. For the better/ best quality mass produced stuff expect to pay $200+. There are some very decent $100-$200 knives which will more than get most jobs done. Your use should really dictate your choice. If you're working construction and durability is paramount, then this heavy and large folder is fine.

Thanks! Not working construction or anything, just would like a high quality knife that will last a long time. Any suggestions?
