120hz Refresh Rate (Dynamic Motion Rate 240)
1200 nits
210 local dimming zones

Compared to this M7 with 32 dimming zones at 60hz and 700 nits, the latter is likely/partially why people complain about the HDR being dark. The 120hz works better with 24 fps which a bit of movies tend to be in (120/24=5 which doesn't make for partial frames like 60/24 does).
My experiences: My 2019 M8 (M658-G1) has 90 dimming zones, 60hz, and is 600 nits and could definetly be a lot brighter, movies with lots of dark scenes I often choose to watch in SDR mode. While the M7 is 17% brighter, I think having a third less zones might be a wash. I think in 2019 when I was looking at the P9, it was more like $1100 or $1200 and so then I was looking at the 75" for $1600-ish. I decided to go with the M8 for $600 and wait a few years for the tech to get cheaper for the bigger models.
If all you have is $600, then this isn't an option, but if you're comparing between the two and have the $900, it's got a lot of benefits. If I could pay $300 to upgrade mine, I'd do it in a heartbeat.

Says this VA panel has good contrast and freesync but poor local dimming.
Costco says this has hdmi 2.1 and 60 Hz refresh.

I have one of the 2018 65" P Series Quantum TV and the biggest benefit is it can get BRIGHT
2000 nits
I have it mounted opposite from 3 windows in my living room with auto-brightness turned on (in a calibrated dark mode) and the sun through the windows cannot outshine the TV.
The biggest complaint with the 2018 PQ series TVs is Vizio is not mindful of software bloat. My TV is sluggish as a doornail with all the crap they've added.
You have to assume the same will happen with current TVs.
The deal I got at the time was $1400 with a $400 DELL gift card, which I used on a 50" V-series 4K Vizio TV for the basement for $450 that came with a $200 gift card. I then used the $200 gift card on a 40" V-series 4K Vizio for our bedroom for $250 that came with a $50 gift card (the $50 I used on a Nintendo Switch game). The V-series were 2019 models with a new CPU and do not have the software bloat issues (yet)
Reminds me of "I've never seen garbage eat garbage before. Excuse me, sir, you're sitting in my favorite seat."
Hate to get rid of it but...it'll be time soon. It's over 5 years old so...meh, I guess. I've got a 14 year old Samsung plasma that's doing just fine.
Considering PQ9 someone shared above as a replacement for the KS8000 if my attempt at soldering doesn't revive it . . .
