TVs are great, merchant is fine, but don't buy this for the warranty.
They use CPS for that warranty which is essentially useless. CPS has removed years from my warranty for no reason (I only found out because they emailed me trying to "upsell" me back those years) and refused to correct the years even with the invoice and receipt, so I had to get the merchant on the line to fight with them. Even once corrected, If you try calling them for anything they will find a way to make it impossible to complete your claim.
Sorry it happened to you but this is not a widespread issue, LG has above average reliability and is a quality TV brand, should have bought a warranty I guess?
Warning to all ! I bought a LG 2 years ago, there is a known issue that is really hidden on the web with them that happened to me the other day and many others. All of the HDMI ports going out. Please look it up before buying a LG TV.

It's been known since 2010 lol my trick is unplug the ones not currently using, my set kept turning itself on & off if all ports were plugged in

I haven't heard of this. What was the issue with the port? Is the picture cutting out or something else? Could be a bad HDMI cable.

Think it has to do with the router....I tried switching to an ac deco and my cheapo tv wouldn't my work with it. Switched to a cheaper non mesh and it worked. Also was using an older orbi mesh and that worked

More feedback like this would be helpful, thanks. Many people usually cite buydig and best buy for having the only warranties that cover burn-in, but have found only a few first hand accounts so far.

BuyDig uses CPS too. Upsie is another one that covers burn-in. I've seen better reports about them, but I don't think I've seen any dealing with an OLED. Best Buy is legit the only one that covers burn-in that has a good valid reputation. It's pricy, but it got me a new TV years ago when my main one crapped out
Does the credit bring the price down to the listed price or is that an extra discount
I purchased this on the last sale back in December and I just got the credit back. What they do is they just give you a partial refund of 100 dollars plus whatever your tax rate is. So for me, they gave me a partial refund of $108.70 after four weeks to the original payment method.

I bought a 65" LG OLED with all state insurance package from Costco. My 2017 OLED was not covered for burn in. I didn't have screen burn in, but actual different color burn in... red and yellow. The insurance is bull crap from all state... I wouldn't ever be a customer from them because of it. It was within the warranty period and they didn't honor my claim. I called Costco and they contacted LG on my behalf and got my TV covered for burn in even after warranty was over from LG. I was very impressed with LG stepping up. OLED is awesome and I love it for my cell phone and TV, but I'm a bit scarred by the burn in experience. I hope QD-OLED or future OLED fix burn in issue as the PQ is awesome. I would not use it as a monitor unless the insurance company explicit states they will cover burn in. Good luck
