Just be warned this is not preseasoned. You will have to season it, but I think it is worth the $200+. Also the grease trap is kinda in a weird spot, but that's a miner nit pick.

I had one of these and swapped over to a Blackstone as soon as I could. That "sear zone" on the right side is a design failure. They had to put a plate under that area to guard some of the cheap hoses. Because of this the right burner gets way hotter than the other area. They put a red knob on it and called it a "sear zone" to make it seem like it was intentional. The burners don't burn consistently so you really have to learn how this grill works before being able to cook consistently on it. Buy a Blackstone or the Home Depot brand. They're way better in my opinion

I got this a few weeks ago when it was on sale for $250, so $295 after tax and shipping. It arived with the hinges on the cover damaged. I called customer service and they sent me replacements that arrived within a week. As far as quality, the surface doesn't heat as even as a Blackstone, but with a little trial and error, I'm sure I can figure it out.

Not really, but grease management is a lot better on a stand alone griddle. Bacon on a gas grill with griddle pans can be dangerous.

The fold-up feature of this is interesting. Wonder how the build quality is? A 37" griddle top would be heavy as hell...seems like it would be a bear to fold up.

For close to this same price it might be worth looking at the Members Mark 36" griddle at Sam's Club. It has top notch build quality and has a big following with the enthusiast community. Lots of mods you can get for it.

I have this for about 3 years now and opted for this over the blackstone. If you are rolling this over anything other than a smooth surface you better put some loctite or threadlocker on all those nuts and bolts because the rattling will loosen them all over an asphalt surface. A cover is a must because even with one, I find leaves and stuff inside the actual grilling area after a few months of sitting. No regrets otherwise.

Even if it was preseasoned you would want to season it yourself just like any cast iron cookware

U-Haul is a good place to get propane (though not all locations have it). They usually have about the best prices, both on the tanks themselves and on refills. There's a person at the store who handles filling the tanks, and they have to have a certification for it, so they can tell you all you need to know about transporting and handling propane.
