This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Curious why you reached out to T-Force. Did you happen to purchase this phone on an installment plan and NOT a one time payment? Only then you will end up with two recurring credits on a single line. I can confirm that I am getting the credits on a phone already traded in with BestBuy last November. But, the phone purchase from BB was outright.

I have placed an order which is yet to be picked up and I will be turning in an iPhone 12 which still has over a year of EIP left. That is again a one-time payment.

This iPhone 13 mini purchase was outright. $80 w/tax.. I reached out to find out to tforce prior to purchase to confirm bill credits from bf 2020s this one's on us 12mini credits would continue if I went through with this one...which I did...so am at the mercy of their systems now...just.hoping nothing changed between Nov and now...

BB just recently started selling T-Mo plans / phones late last year. So, folks have been using this loophole of trading in phones still on EIP until the systems are fully integrated. Ideally, you are expected to pay off early and move those credits to the account-level and trade in the phone. Not sure how soon those traded in phones come back for resale. When it does, it needs to be clean but would still show as locked and on EIP until we complete our obligations. Curious if anyone tried to purchase such a phone and tried to unlock it through T-Mobile. That would be hard to find.

If bill credits are affected, it would be a big issue as so many took advantage of this deal from end of last year and doing so now with this one. We can still pay the balance and continue to get credits, its just the convenience aspect that we don't need to at this time.

Unless someone reports a traded-in device as stolen or lost, T-Mo will (at least expect to) not bother about it as long as the phone number tied to the phone IMEI contract is still active and you continue to pay the EIP and get bill credits for the duration of the term.

If your account is flagged for reselling (buying multiples of anything) then later even if you buy an in demand product even 1 time they will cancel that..sucks and stupid nobody at best buy can fix. You've got to use a friend's bestbuy account and their cc and pay them separately.

So once I have used my friends account to get this deal, I pick up the phone and make sure they don't insert the sim and activate it on my friend's account? What happens if they insist on activating it? Will it take over my friend's number on that iPhone?

Also, I'm on google fi, how should I go about getting this phone unlocked so I can use it?

I bought the iPhone on Friday before the price drop of $100; does best buy pay us the difference (price match)?

T-Force via twitter had already submitted an unlock request for me last night. It's been 12hrs+ and the device is not unlocked yet. Is that possible the request got denied? Should I contact again for another unlock request?

Others had success chatting and calling BB customer service to get the $100 back

I have 2x iphone SE2 ($360 trade-in promo) and 2x iphone 11 pro max ($650 trade in promo). Has anyone been able to stack a trade-in with the BOGO $800 off iPhone 13 Pro Max (add 1 line)?

If trade-in's are not allowed for the BOGO promo, then it is better to buy from Costco.
Only one trade in gets extra $200 TIV, the rest gets regular value.

You can use the same phone number; it is not limited. Do note that you can only use your phone number one at a time. Scenario: You can use your phone number to place the order and upgrade, and you will have to go into the store, trade in the iPhone XR, and pick up the new iPhone before you can use the same phone number to place another order and upgrade.

I hope this helps,
Tofu Vic
Thanks, Chaoss, huzi61 and tofu for the response.

May try this week. 👍

So i picked up two new phones and traded in my wife and I's old phones. I threw in our old SIM cards and i cant seem to get anything set up or activated. Was there anything special anyone else did to get this to all work? I am scared to throw in the new SIM in case it borks up my account or anything. Im also curious if the dude at BB entered in some random information that would force this to require my phones to use the new SIMs?
