This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Has anyone successfully been able to get the correct value of $475 for the XS Max?
No but I did chat with a rep who was supposed to report it to their web team and get it fixed.

Were you guys still using H2O sims to unlock phones via ATT? I haven't flipped in years, since right before VZW started their 60-day locks.

Haven't seen anyone mention h2O but a few of us did it with the att portal and it worked fine until about a week or two ago.

I would not advise going the att portal route.

Where did you sign up for the 20 dollar plan, Best Buy or T-Mobile store?
Went to T-Mobile store first but they had a problem creating my account so I had to call T-Mobile and they mailed me the sim. Activation/Sim Card was another $30. After I got the sim, I put it into a phone and setup my account online. Then I was able to order on Best Buy as an upgrade with the trade in. Then T-Force on Twitter got back to me in 21 minutes and had unlocked it for me. Now going for another XR trade in.

All depends on the county laws

Same with GameStop when you are trading in.

They unlocked in 21 minutes? I contacted them on Twitter and the guy said he would submit it but it's been over 9 hours and still not unlocked.

They replied in 21 minutes and it's now unlocked. The message was:

Thanks for taking time out of your day to reach out to T-Force! My name is XXXXXX and I'm here to take great care of you! I'll be happy to help out with getting your iPhone 13 unlocked! I went ahead and made sure the IMEI XXXXXXXXX is whitelisted to be unlocked so that is all set! All you'll need to do is insert a non-T-Mobile SIM card in the phone and restart it and it will be unlocked.

I'm curious. Fingerprints for what? Seem intrusive just for a phone sale. Not from NJ.

You should be able to imo
Here is an update on this that may help others.

I bought iPh13 using my brother's TMo acct. I tried to activate on my Sprint TNX line, but I couldn't. The phone was still in the box. I called Sprint, but they couldn't help. I took the phone out of the box and inserted TMo SIM card for the line that was used to purchase the device. Once the phone was active on TMo for 15 minutes, I went to my Sprint acct and was able to activate the device using its IMEI on my TNX SIM.

I don't know if I had simply inserted my TNX SIM into the iPhone that it would have activated on my Sprint acct. Does TNX SIM act like a T-Mobile HOT SIM in the sense that you simply put into a different device and everything would work. No need to activate / swap device on the Sprint acct.

Anyway, hoping that this may help some of my Sprint buddies here if they took advantage of this promo and ran into the same issue that I did. Thanks.

That's a blatant violation of the privacy. They are already violating by taking your license. Have you seen Samsung take license info for trade-in. They are abusing their monopoly power.

I was able to get a credit this morning. I traded in an XR 10 days ago. Really shouldn't matter about the trade-in as the price of the phone itself dropped $100 and as long as you're not doing it on a payment plan then you're buying it out right.
What was your total outlay after trade in? Thinking of reading in an xr as well.

They are not violating your privacy. You are trading in a phone, and they are taking precautions to ensure the device you are trading in isn't stolen. Also if you don't like it, they are not forcing you to trade in your devices. They do not require the information to sell you a device.
