This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Yes but have one that was first activated with AT&T sim and it's not recognized IMEI on AT&T unlock portal so now will need AT&T to unlock it since it's now locked to them.
Oh got it. I thought you were referring before inserting any sim. One of my phone had the same situation. Tried ATT trick and it got locked. Sold it on swappa as ATT phone.

Official rule is 40 days. But you can request Tforce and they will unlock it usually within 4-5 days max. Just let them know it's fully paid and purchased from BestBuy.

Hi,

I am already a TMobile customer. When we request for unlock through Twitter, how does the process work?

I contacted TForce via Twitter and they want to link Twitter to the TMobile account. Is this normal? I contacted them at @TMobileHelp. I was thinking we just give the phone number and the IMEI.

I requested within first hr to unlock. Twitter CS rep denied unlock and asked me to contact 40 days after. She kept blocking my requests. ~6hrs later, I tried FB messenger and got a different rep and phone was unlocked within a few mins.

Something was wrong for last day and half and no availability at all in 250 miles. Now it is showing some stores has some stock even if not the nearest one. Try again you may get lucky.

Yes, you have to link your tmobile ID with messenger/twitter so that rep can verify your identification.

Then message them requesting for unlock providing IMEI number, what tmobile line being used and mentioned it was purchased from BestBuy and it was fully paid. They take time to get back so just send one message and they'll follow up later.

Just curious, did you mention it was purchased from BestBuy and fully paid? For these phones they submit through a third party and don't usually show the 40 days rule.

I feel like I am missing a step or so:

1) I handed in my SE (2nd Gen). Rep check for condition and EMEI
2) Rep scanned the attached SIM (outside the box) and handed me the iPhone 13 without opening it since I mentioned that I have to get back to work (lunch break)

Do I have to call TMobile to activate or anything? I am not planning to change carrier. Also, if I want to, can I give the phone to my brother to use on VZ?

They might need to activate the new SIM card. If you have a 5G sim just use your old sim. Otherwise call or chat T-Mobile to activate the sim. The time waster is waiting on the phone etc

I believe it is 40 days, then T-Mobile will automatically unlock your phone. People were activating the phone using an ATT sim card then unlocking it through ATT during the last BB T-Mobile deal.
I am trying to purchase from Best Buy and the rep says their iPhone(Best Buy inventory) can't be unlocked to use international carrier even though it is unlocked by T-Mobile. Is this correct?

That person is an idiot. When a phone is unlocked it's unlocked to use anywhere.
