This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Contacted Tforce today to unlock the 2 Minis that I bought yesterday. After I submitted my receipts, it took the Tforce rep less than 2 minutes to inform me that both phones should now be unlocked.

I checked, but only one Mini actually unlocked. After checking some things for a few minutes on his end, the rep said he escalated the unlock request, but it would take 24 hours. I just said Ok, no problem, but I thought it was weird that one unlocked instantly and the other did not. No worries though, I will wait a day or two and see if it unlocks.
Did you open and activate the phones on your account before you made the unlock the request or no?

Is it just me or best buy trade in is down? I tried to create an order and when I add trade in the page goes blank. Tested on 2 different browsers but no luck.

I'm not sure if I'm having similar issues or doing something wrong. When going through the process, I get the trade-in value of $500 for my iphone 11. However, the value disappears once in the cart and at checkout

I asked T-Force to unlock my iphone this morning. The CSR told me to check back on thursday for the unlock status. She mentioned that they use another department to do the unlock. I have had the phone for half a week.
Contacted T-Force this morning as well. They asked for the reason why I wanted to unlock my phone, I told them it was for international travel use, they said because of that they can unlock it so I can use my phone overseas.

Gah can't decide if I actually wanna do this with an iPhone XS 512gb.

From what I've seen losing 10x digital zoom and basically not being able to take any kind of a close up shot with the 13 or 13 mini seems like a dealbreaker. For some reason these only do 5x digital zoom where XS does 2x optical and 10x digital. And they suck at taking any kind of a close up shot.

I wish the 13 pro also had a $100 sale on it and I'd probably pull the trigger.

$1099 - $410 is still a $600+ dollar upgrade with taxes which is pretty steep. 128gb at $1k is honestly a joke. Will probably wait and hope there is a deal on iPhone 14 pro with trade in and they up the base storage to 256gb.

anybody recommend a screen protector and a place to get it applied? I've purchased them and applied myself and then the screen ended up cracking so I want to get it done by an expert but not get ripped off. Thanks.
Technically screen protectors are mostly designed against scratches not sharp impacts. If the point of stress is small enough (like end of a key pressed hard against the glass) it will go through both the protector and screen like nothing. Yeah I know they show it stopping bullet and hammer but as Demolition Ranch tried you need about 20-30 of them to stop one 9mm round 😏.
Personally I would stick to something with reliable reviews, I tried amFilm one touch knew and few others for my family and it depends on how person treats the device, for me same brand lasted 8 months for my sister it was barely enough to survive for a month, usually though screen survives and I just end up putting new protector on. Anker ones I used before were pretty decent and at least better than $25 invisishield ones from Walmart

When are the newest apple phones being accepted for trade in? Is it only when the next ones come out?

Limited-time deal: amFilm 2 Pack OneTouch Glass Screen Protector Compatible with iPhone 13/iPhone 13 Pro 6.1" with Easy Installation Kit, Full Coverage Case Friendly https://www.amazon.com/dp/B09DYPT...NJ90XW4KD5
Yeah those are nice. I wish they made cases with beefier bezels though, to account for the extra thickness added by the tempered glass protectors. I actually don't use tempered glass on mine because it creates a contact point when the phone falls face down. So you have all these people saying "oh my protector is cracked, thank god I had it on!" then they buy another one (despite the original possibly having a lifetime warranty). Great marketing!

anybody else got fingerprinted when trading in the phone at the store?

Was told it's for the police in case the trade-in phone comes back reported stolen.

Redic...one security breach away from my fingerprints floating around the web
