This is with bestbuy, so no bill credit involved, it's instant trade in value that deducts from the sale price, and tax is on the deducted selling price too. Don't mislead others.

ATT is $100 cheaper further. $500 for mini and $600 for regular. But trade in values are horrible.

T-Mo is still the best in value overall.

Looks like trade in values are higher directly from T-mobile? i.e it APPEARS a 256gb XS Max is a $799 trade in value. It does require Magenta Max plan, but what makes this so much better?
this does not require Magenta Max plan. This deal works for any plan.
If you trade-in directly at t-mobile, the trade in value comes as 24 months credit.
With this deal, you pay the difference and you are done. No monthly credits.

Seems like Best Buy flagged your account (like several of us here) and the only option now is doing the phone deals in-store.

If by some miracle you ever do find a solution to your Best Buy account issues, please post it. Unfortunately, I think you're banished to doing in-store deals only, as Best Buy typically won't help fix your problem.

I did a 3-way call among myself, BB and TMO, and there is a hanging/orphan pending sim card order in the TMO system created by BB, TMO can NOT cancel it.

since BB cancelled my phone order, BB has no way to re-cancel the sim card order from TMO system , i think it is due to recent communication issue between BB and TMO from recent large volume of phone upgrade

IF someone sees error like

"Multiple orders found

Sorry, but you have multiple orders to upgrade the same line or phone number. You can cancel your pending orders by logging into your BestBuy.com account"

please contact Geek squad 800-433-5778 and ask to transfer to Mobile Activation Support team.

Anyone know how many days would TMO drop a pending (not completed) order?

I don't think this is a new thing, it's the issue where we were warned not to cancel a BB order cause the accounts gets hung up, you just got unlucky and BB canceled it on you. I have been using a $20 talk/text plan that I don't care about, was in a spot where I had to cancel an order due to timing and had the same issue, oddly enough I got around it by requesting a number change from T-Mobile so it seems to be something getting hung up between T-Mobile and BB based on the number rather than account based. Not that changing your number is a realistic option.

is this unlock permanent which was done from ebay.

Also with out this ebay service, if we wait for 60 days does VZ unlocks automatically.

I have an active line on VZ using an iphone, if I take the SIM from my current VZ phone and insert in this new phone and activate it and remove the SIM and put it back in my original VZ iPhone, will the new iPhone I bought from BBuy gets unlocked after 60 days automatically ?
I've been monitoring these threads since last September - only ONE person has reported an automatic unlock from VZ and I believe he had an active SIM in the whole time. There has been little discussion for months and a strong report of a Visible unlock delay/ordeal - not sure if Visible and VZ use the same "automatic" unlock procedures although they are the same corporation and have the same 60 day policy.

Somehow there has to be an action from a carrier or authorized party to update the carrier lock status on these Apple activation servers. Good to know it is cheap and fast to hire the service through EBay if using a VZ SIM. The ATT process went well for me and I'm glad there is an update as to why it stopped working as inventory of the devices got burned nationwide.

An update: I went to a BestBuy store this noon and completed the purchase with the trade-in without any issue. If the online ordering system didn't show the trade-in credit at the checkout page, just go to a local store and it's fast and easy.
And I did notice that BestBuy's store inventory information is accurate online (at least for the one I went to).
Looks issue is fixed now. Trade-in credit is showing at checkout page now

How is T-Mobile if I wanted to take this deal now and then get a 14 when those come out? T-Mobile usually pretty good about offering promos to existing customers? (sorry this is my first time being on my own plan, previous had a phone provided from employer)

I'm curious if trade-in deals will be this generous again, avoiding stupid bill credits. I can say that there was incentive to get folks onto 5G phones while TMo had the enormous advantage in mid-band 5G. This deal has been advantageous to many because the integration between TMo and Best Buy is so weak - you don't have to be on a "Max" plan to upgrade, the upgrade works over and over again, scanning the SIM at Best Buy has NO effect on the phone number attached to the upgrade. Party for many at TMobile's expense!

I can also confirm this works for quick unlock without an issue. I put a Verizon sim on it on Sunday, purchased eBay verizon unlock service for $1.75 and today it is unlocked. Thanks to user Acolb72 for reporting this working.
was it an ACTIVE Verizon sim card? Would inactive Verizon sim card work?...

Cool! Did you purchase eBay unlock right after you put the sim card? or should I wait a day or so?...

Does it have to be first time?

Also would Total Wireless SIM work?

Is there any downside going through Best Buy vs T-Mobile direct?

Is anyone able to checkout? I'm still getting an error, "there's a problem on our side, please try again later", and never receive the OTP!
