Been waiting on the TL versions to go on sale, they've got a higher lift than the SLX's.

5000TL - https://www.costco.com/quickjack-...33778.html

7000TL - https://www.costco.com/quickjack-...33826.html

The package with the hangers and blocks isn't on sale, but these prices are solid, best I've seen on the taller lift.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

I got the longer 5000 TLX during QJ's holiday sale for $1480 ($200 off their site price then, it's increased by $10). This deal is $180 less, though the extended costs $40 more than the regular ones, so $140 more savings than that deal.

Check if you need the TL or TLX. It may surprise you how many common cars need the longer version (last generation Civic, for example). I didn't wait for Costco to stock the longer ones of the new model because they never had them in the previous generation.

https://www.quickjack.com/support...ing-guide/

Use the downloadable manual when setting up, not the one that comes in left frame's box. The printed one I received had incorrect information (way too much torque on the elbow to small hose, for example). I didn't get all the way to 34 N-m, stopped around 26 when I saw the hose was failing. I had to wait over a week to get the replacement part :/

https://www.quickjack.com/pub/dow...Manual.pdf

I store mine under my SUV, so no need for the hangers. Lots of clearance vertically and they're only about two feet wide when pushed side-by-side. I used this tip to put the frames on wheels for about $12:

https://youtu.be/y5PYa3IvCSg

I don't know if those wheels would be strong enough for the 7000 models.
I have done about 100 oil changes for family. These make it a piece of cake.
You gotta start somewhere. Next week engine swap!

Now that's more useful feedback than accusing somebody of being a shill.

My full experience is on the last quickjack deal and there is a lot of info as to what can go wrong with it. I still have to use it because I don't have room for a two post but it takes me like 30-40 min to get everything line up to where I would nervously get under the car. Once you see a big car just fall off it you get a little skittish about trusting it

I was super tempted by this, but I watched a review by someone that uses this regularly and he timed himself setting it up and lifting. Even though he had the hydraulic pump and the jacks out and next to his vehicle it took 5 minutes to position them, hook up the hoses, and lift the car. I think in that same amount of time I could chock the wheels, jack up the front, place stands, jack up the rear, place stands. And jack stands offer more room to move around.

Decent floor jack = $200-300
4 decent jack stands = $150
Same amount of time.

If anyone owns this wants to dispute I would love to hear it because I legitimately want an excuse to buy this.

Oh, and if you don't need to lift the body independently from the wheels then Rhino Ramps are even easier.
I have the SLX version of the quickjack. You are correct that lining up the jacks and blocks with the car frame or pinch weld is the most time consuming part. I did have a car *SLIDE* off one side because I had double stacked the lifting blocks, and the two quick jacks weren't completely parallel to each other; think a much less exaggerated V. Lesson learned. I only trust one lifting block high, and I always give the car a good lateral shove once it's lifted.

for oil changes maybe it's overkill, and rhino ramps is probably as fast as it gets (have those too). For doing summer and winter tire swaps, it's so much easier though since all 4 are lifted at the same time. Also was really nice when I had to work on my supercharger setup and oil cooler.

It's a nice to have.

Yes, of course a site named MESNSHM that uses pictures and videos stolen from the Quickjack site and selling a lift for less than it probably costs to ship is 100% legit.

Yes, I have used it on my 997.2 for brake fluid flushes and when I did the coils/plugs. For an oil change just jack one side with a hockey puck or something similar on the jack. Watch as the front also lifts because the car is so rigid. Because the car is relatively low the QJ lifts it relatively high.

For those who jump in remember the air cylinders are there to lower the lift and I would remove and retape the schrader valves as they tend to leak. Check the pressure often at first. If you are having trouble connecting the hoses to the power unit press and hold the down button to relieve the pressure.

It does take more time to set up then a floor jack most of that is aligning the frames under the car.

You know for what you mentioned, coils and oil, you can do all that with the car on the ground. Pan is already angled. I stopped with jacks unless for wheels, brakes, or suspension.

I was also super tempted by this. I went with jackpoint jackstands instead. Way faster. Did not like the setup time with this.

Do you use yours with a Porsche? I just picked up a 997.2, I feel weird about using a regular jack with it.
The amount of work you'll have to put in to get a regular jack and jack stands to work with a porsche will drive you nuts. You're honestly better off just getting the quickjack. Also, get it with the rubber stops.

Plugs on 997.2 require removing the rear wheels.

I bit the bullet today, also ordered the wall hangers I linked earlier. Which rubber stops are you talking about, the pinch weld blocks or something else?

Not sure I get the Amazon reference. He pushes these lifts pretty hard and the complaint is that there is heavy marketing on these. Lots of paid YouTube reviews. He discounts all the bad reviews on people not knowing what they are doing. Just smells like he got a kick from quickjack in relation to helping them develop mods to the quickjack and maybe he is a little biased... so did he get free stuff from qj? I own one. Received a unit with 2 rams that went bad on first lift which left my car stuck in the air, had another car fall off due to jack on one side flipping over and qj did not care. No support on that. They replaced the original rams which were defective but admitted the ones they sent were not assembled right leaving my car stuck in the air

I post about products I like. I guess I must be a paid shill for Milwaukee and ridgid too. Ive also been a member of SD for almost 5 years, and have literally only posted about the Quickjack once.

By that standard, you're a shill for this weird looking poncho you've posted about too: https://slickdeals.net/f/15534832-homeless-chic-poncho-49-off-853-99

I told people here to look outside of a deal shopping website for quickjack use reviews and look at car forums where more people have experience with them. Almost 200,000 google search results for "quickjack porsche", and over 250,000 for "quickjack bmw".
Plenty of room for independent research and for shoppers to make their own determination with feedback from people who actually use it.

Every quickjack product on Home Depot's website has over 4.5 star average rating as well.

I guess everyone reviewing it is a shill all over the internet too? Maybe its a conspiracy we've all come up with just to personally con you?

I said that some posts on my previous SD thread skewed it because people don't like to admit they used something wrong, and I specifically posted about known issues of this product. The TL version update addresses many of those issues. You dont know that, because you dont own one.

If you felt like my point about user-error was aimed towards you, it wasn't, but if it the shoe fits, well then, lace it up.

There's room for user error here, just like any other scenario that involves lifting your car and you likely shouldnt own something like this if you cant follow directions.

I'm not forcing anyone to buy this product, and I didn't post this deal either. I posted the last one and others upvoted it.

I've wanted a portable solution like this for years. If you don't like yours, sell it.

I concur doctor. I posted on the last thread and have no issues with mine (stability is great).

But I am experienced in auto work. I am experienced at not being a smooth brain.

Most people can barely tie their shoes or walk and talk simultaneously. It isn't for you if you're part of the general population.

Joining the military seems like a very expensive way to get the use of a lift.
