All my orders of 12 cans of anything from Amazon have had at least half of the cans dented. Am I the only one? Pineapple, tomatoes, soup... I was thinking they just resell the ones other stores won't take.
Not for me. WM shows $0.72 per can for their own brand @ 15.5 oz = $8.64 not including the tax etc.
vs this for me w/5/s&s was $8.30 for 12 @ 16 oz.

I bought 2 orders to donate most of them.
Thx op, tu and repped!Smilie
Meh. As long as they aren't damaged too the point of being comprised it doesn't bother me.. Alot of concentrated weight with many shipping processes involved. I order things like these for convenience.

Definitely higher than Walmart brand. I just bought red kidney beans (no salt added) for 50 cents a can yesterday in-store.

Yup. Store brands about 50 cents here, too.

As I mentioned the WM, brand is $0.72 in my store.
So this deal is better, no matter which brands
or a difference or not between beans. (btw, the same Bush brand in WM, my area is double these)
See my post on the 1st page. nod

I didn't realize Walmart prices varied that much in different areas. 0.62 in my area and random zip codes I found a 0.72 in Nebraska and 0.54 in NYC and San Diego. My area went from 0.50 to 0.54 for a few months, maybe 0.72 is next. Interesting

Yes and also as happens often, a difference between their online price and in-store price for the same item.
Years ago it used to be the in-store was less, because they got you into the store and you'd most likely spend more once there. Now, it's no rhyme, no reason, just whims of theirs or else as per their algorithms.

Get a 4 lb raw beans bag from an Indian store. They cook in 20 minutes in insta-pot!

Your instant pot is more powerful than mine. Mine would take 40 for kidney beans, plus 20 to get up to temp, plus 15 to depressurize. I agree with you, though, it's worth it.

Can you quantify or describe the difference between them? I certainly can't. The brand vs off brand discussion has been going for 120+ years. Pasta sauce, frosted flakes, baked beans, mac-n-cheese etc that are more processed definitely has potential for quality differences between brands but in my opinion, slight if any difference on the raw, slightly prepared or "ready for packaging" at the industrial level canned and bagged beans, flour, sugar etc.
I've never bought store brand beans. But, I've noticed product discrepancies in nuts (cashews, peanuts, etc), so I figured beans could be the same.

To me, spending twenty cents a can more for the brand name is worth it. But, I agree with the rest of your post.

Good luck finding the Walmart brand of beans in certain areas. Half of their Walmart brands of various types of beans are unavailable for shipping or pickup & have been for a while, in my area.
