All my orders of 12 cans of anything from Amazon have had at least half of the cans dented. Am I the only one? Pineapple, tomatoes, soup... I was thinking they just resell the ones other stores won't take.
Not for me. WM shows $0.72 per can for their own brand @ 15.5 oz = $8.64 not including the tax etc.
vs this for me w/5/s&s was $8.30 for 12 @ 16 oz.

I bought 2 orders to donate most of them.
Thx op, tu and repped!Smilie
Meh. As long as they aren't damaged too the point of being comprised it doesn't bother me.. Alot of concentrated weight with many shipping processes involved. I order things like these for convenience.

$0.54/can at Walmart, $0.58/can at Aldi. Not a deal.

Thanks. I'm building up a canned/dried stash good for a few weeks. Who knows what's coming after omicron.

Are you comparing store brand to this? If so, why? The exact same product for me at Walmart is almost double in price.

I have had the same issue with several varieties of canned goods. It happens a Lot. Thankfully Amazon will graciously refund your money or offer a replacement if possible. I've had many different problems with sellers offering a 6 pack or multi pack products, yet only sending one item. Amazon WILL make it right. I never go through the digital prompts of solving an issue though. I always start at customer service and click on " something else" when it asks what products u are inquiring about. I always write "associate please" over & over till it offers to chat with a customer service associate. It's just quicker that way. I've done this for outdated or almost outdated products too & they always come through. Since covid we order nearly everything via shipping or delivery services and Amazon is by far the best at fixing any issues with items purchased through them.

Of course he's comparing this to store brand. They're beans. There's no difference.

For those that order and don't know what to do with so many cans, my Italian grandma would always drain/rinse a can or two in cold water, then pour on a bit of olive oil, oregano, garlic, and salt. Super easy, nice little side dish.

It's beans. Seriously? They all come from the same suppliers. It's the exact same product. Absolutely senseless to pay double.

My subscribe and save orders are terrible. Different products thrown in a box beat to hell. You can call Amazon but it's such a pain I'm just canceling most of my S&S orders

I definitely agree with you here on the S&S items. I am tempted to request refunds/replacements from Customer Service for some of the messes that arrive in one big box. However, I have heard too many of these complaints put you a naughty list that can get you kicked off Amazon and we definitely could not handle that! ;-}

So, what todo except, as you said, cut down on S&S bulk orders or Amazon orders entirely?

Can you quantify or describe the difference between them? I certainly can't. The brand vs off brand discussion has been going for 120+ years. Pasta sauce, frosted flakes, baked beans, mac-n-cheese etc that are more processed definitely has potential for quality differences between brands but in my opinion, slight if any difference on the raw, slightly prepared or "ready for packaging" at the industrial level canned and bagged beans, flour, sugar etc. You could choose one company or brand over another for personal reasons not related to the quality of the product. To each his own.

Way off topic here but...
When prices and inflation go up, one of the first compromises people make is name brands basics. Are you really "treating yourself" with much better quality on the difference between Hanover vs Great Value green beans? Considering one is probably 2x the price of the other and both are still a cooked green bean in a can that barely resembles what it once was from its peak on the bush. I bet those fully paying for their food and avoiding store brand and only switched to them because of the economy may find later that the store brand is good enough regardless. No doubt there are people living paycheck to paycheck that will only buy Oreos and people with a full retirement nest egg and zero debt that are happy with random duplex cremes and vise versa.

Walmart's price is $0.72 in my area, so it is slightly more expensive than this deal. But Walmart has no salt added version.

As I mentioned the WM, brand is $0.72 in my store.
So this deal is better, no matter which brands
or a difference or not between beans. (btw, the same Bush brand in WM, my area is double these)
See my post on the 1st page. nod
