many VA 144hz-165hz 32" 1440p monitors are around this price, sometimes even $250

why is this one a deal? esp front page?
How is this a frontpage deal? Seems like just an ok price for an ok monitor.

Might want to add Freesync to the title.

Samsung's website says it's VESA mount compatible, but doesn't list the size.

It appears to be the same price on B&H, Newegg, GameStop (didn't know they sell monitors), and even the Samsung website.

Amazon reviews complain of poor calibration out of the box, bundling reviews to mislead consumers (Amazon problem), and one person says it often gets confused and continually cycles between HDR and non-HDR, causing the screen to black out for a few seconds every time.

You have them side by side? Was wondering if 2 this size is over kill. Doesn't require lots of head turning? Would love to see a pic if you're willing. Thanks!

I have the Samsung S80UA 28" 4k monitor. It seems these monitors by default have ECO SENSOR MODE on.

Once you turn it off, the monitor is bright. Bright enough!

There are several different eco settings and you need to make sure to turn off the ECO SENSOR MODE that adjusts for ambient light settings supposedly but ends up making the monitor DIM.

I'm really happy with the 28" 4k version of this monitor. It's solid. I got it on a bunch of discounts (EPP, $55 Honey cashback, $50 promo code and 10% off from Samsung from initiating a return but declining once they offered a 10% credit.

I believe it fills a specific need. The panel is flat and not curved. The stand has pivot control. It has 3.5mm audio. It also has picture-in-picture. This might be a good choice if you need those features but don't want a 27" IPS monitor.

I might be the wrong guy to ask. Mine are flanking a 43" Q60T. I use all three for IT work. Mine are 24 inches from my face scaled to 125%. Some may argue that even 100% scaling with QHD is not enough resolution for 32" but I don't think so. I am, however, in my early 40s and just starting to lose some strength in my eyes. So in your case, especially if you are younger than me, push the monitors back on your desk a bit and it will help with both the text clarity and need to turn your neck.

Let me know if you still want a pic.

Op, I would buy g70a 28 in a heartbeat if it were at least an hdr600. Looking for a monitor with hdmi 2.1, hdr600-1000, 500+ local array dimming, free & g sync, 1440 p or higher resolution,144 or higher refresh rate, response under 5ms. Odyssey G7 seems to be closest but they ruined it by introducing unnecessary curve there…any recommendations would be welcome, mostly productivity requiring contrast in a sunlight well lit area with occasional gaming.

It's VA panel. Color will look washed out if you are coming from IPS

Only qhd, only 75 hz, and a VA panel. This is not a good deal by any means

I'm interested in your entire setup and how you use it. I'm looking for more screen real estate for displaying multiple database toolsets, rdp sessions, terminal sessions, monitoring VPCs, Zoom screen share, etc. with my mid-40s eyes. Currently running a couple of Dell 2412m and 15inch MBP that isn't enough anymore.
TIA
