Oh, wow. That's a lot longer than I expected for youth account to be active. I thought, maybe in several business days. Did you get email when youth account became active or link in email "to activate youth account"?
For me the id verification only took 2-3 days but it was over a week from when I first set up the 2 accounts to when I could actually transfer money into the youth account to conduct a trade. But the $50 was deposited after a few days.
Did you get "your youth account is now active" email or "click the link to activate your youth account" email after submitting 2 ID? We haven't received that kind of email yet. I submitted ID last Wednesday night.
EDIT:
Today is Monday, 3 business days since I opened youth account. My son finally received an email from Felidity to create youth account log in. The email mentioned he will get $50 bonus soon. We will see if that's true.
When my child downloaded the App, and logged on for the very first time which was about 3 weeks ago, it said will get $50 on the app. But we have not seen the $50 bonus.

Got it in about a week or less. Activate the account by accessing it from the app.
UPDATE: Yesterday, I figured out I can only transfer money from my Fidelity account to youth account, not from my bank account to youth account directly. So, first, I had to fund money from bank account to Fidelity account, then, I could transfer the funds from Fidelity account to youth account. HTH

If you have a checking account you can also just write him a check… very easy to deposit on app.
I didn't think about writing him a check. I wrote a check yesterday and realized last time I wrote a check was more than one year ago. I stick with electric money transfer through bank, though. It's easy enough.
EDIT: I could finally transfer money to youth account. I added funds through my bank account to my Fidelity account on Saturday, and I have finally have an option to transfer the funds from my Fidelity account to youth account today (Wednesday). Hope this helps someone.

Same thing is happening to me. It's been over a month and I still can't add funds.

Did you try to add funds to youth account directly through linked bank account in your Fidelity account? I found out first, I had to add funds to my Fidelity account from linked bank account, then transfer the funds to youth account from my Fidelity account after the funds cleared. It took about 3 business days to transfer money to youth account after I initiated bank transfer. I was not able to directly transfer money through my bank account to youth Fidelity account.
