The figures don't look very appealing in pictures...

I was looking figurine sets and nice posters for my son. We loved the sho (I think it is a masterpiece of animation for tc), even though we can care less for the video-game. I was going to buy this, since I don't see other options when it was $29 a few days ago, but now it is a great deal. Thank you. Yes, they are not McFarlane figurines , but 5 for $18 is a DEAL!!!

The character models don't look right, especially Vi. It seems like $19.99 should be the msrp, not $39.99.

They aren't. There's a larger series of figures with more detail (think similar to McFarlane toys) that will inevitably have the popular characters available.
