I own this flash drive from a previous deal. Read speeds are decent, but writing freezes every 10 seconds for about 3 seconds after the cache fills up

I own a few from a staples deal last year and it is slow to write but was Hella cheap for the 110% price match deal.

Anyone know will fire tv recognize this flash drive ? I used PNY on fire tv and won't recognize after reformat to fat32. But Sandisk will recognize

I bought two of the same HP 128GB drives (P-FD128HP900-GE) on Amazon. I don't know if they are fake but write speeds on large files are terrible. Seems like there is no cache or it is very small.

i cannot even past a 80G file to any of my 3 drives.
the return process was painless (as expected from amazon)

Amazon has been known to send merchandise from another seller using the fulfilled by amazon program if the other seller is in a warehouse closer to the buyer in the past. They will also occasionally resell returns if they don't look like they've been opened. Not saying it's guaranteed fake or real, just to be cautious because just because it says sold by Amazon doesn't mean it's real.

Don't know about this 256gb one but the last time the HP drive was on slickdeals (128gb) I bought 3 from Amazon. All 3 ended up to be counterfeit ones - slower than USB 2.0 and after like 4gb placed on the drive, it would corrupt the files. I remember seeing 512gb drives in china something like 10-12 years ago (which weren't even possible - but sold on the streets) and found that they put some kind of software to trick user it was 512gb but was actually 512mb and when writing files it would keep looping around and thereby corrupting the file.
