Yes, just show them your phone with the link. It should already be updated in their system. Just bring them your receipt

I bought the TCL 4 55" as a temp tv for 30 days waiting for deals. I absolute hate the roku verision, I had the android tv TCl and it's miles better. Controls and interface are trash. That being said I could live with it if this tv is worth it.?

Any input on the quality. Especially for PS4 gaming

I haven't seen that on mine, I have the 65" one.

Did you enable backlight local dimming to high, disable sharpness on all inputs and streaming?
I did not adjust the sharpness. I have the backlight local dimming set on high.
Do you mean just drop the sharpness to zero on all the apps?

The "R" versions of these TVs can't scale 480p content properly, and it looks blurry.

If you're watching 480 in 2022, I honestly just feel bad for you.

I remember that was the one "knock" on this, but that was the u6. Apparently this one does have it. Gets very good reviews on rtings. No personal experience but I plan on grabbing one this weekend

I have had this TV for 1 month and I am thinking of returning it to Costco. I was watching a movie with the kids - "Sing 2" - and the end credits has a full black screen with pink flamingos dancing around the credits. Holy moly the blooming effect was so bad I was almost embarrassed by what I was watching. It honestly looked like my high speed internet was cutting out or something it was so pixelated. The brights are great, love the Roku platform but the blacks are garbage. Really not looking forward to returning it as Costco.com's drop off was great and now I have to load it into the car. And I also don't have the box it came in anymore.

Conclusion, it seems that the 32 local dimming zones found in the 55" model is inadequate for blooming control; while, the 60 local dimming zones found in the 65" model is adequate for blooming control.

Therefore, for if you need a 55" sized TV, it may be better to step up to the U7G with 92 local dimming zones or step down to a TCL 4 series that does not have full array local dimming.

I am going to stop to stop by tomorrow and inquire about a price adjustment. I bought it 3 weeks ago and still have the box. For $50 I will haul it back up there if I have to.

I would say,, put extra $100 and buy Hisense H9G on Amazon. H9G was onsale for $500 last week. It should come back to that price.

I don't even think default stream is 480 anymore...so yeah. You're not wrong.

If given the source, I don't know why I would NOT utilize 4K.

This being a $400 TV, I don't think I can expect pitch blacks like I would my OLED. Heck, I don't even expect that under $1K but YMMV of course. But everyone's intended use and expectation are a little different.

I'm using this as a spare TV in the office. From what I saw in the stores, I think it'll be good for that purpose. Not using it as a flagship model to demo guests or anything.

Most likely true. I ran several "blooming check" 4K vids on YouTube. I did not enjoy what I saw. :/

But if you read the reviews on Costco
it seems there may be QC issues as some people report of getting a "good panel" - but perhaps it's because they wrote the review after only tinkering with it for a few days. Eventually you'll stumble upon the blooming and get mad. I hear the Best Buy Android 55" version of the TV has a panel that is much better.
