I'm waiting for next year's instant pot - I hear it will be able to do taxes too.
though i have not made yogurt, but my understanding is that to make yogurt, you need some fixed temperature. this one has sous vide, so you probably can make yogurt with it.
I have owned both of these models. The Insignia is a pressure cooker only. It's pretty basic but will do the job and I have cooked many delicious meals. I bought it for $30 when it was on sale and I had this model for a couple years before I bought the more expensive Instant Pot Air Fryer/Pressure Cooker. Key differences are the Instant Pot has a stainless still pot while the Insignia has a Teflon coated pot. You can buy the stainless pot separately it costs around $20-30. The Instant Pot has a natural release valve, meaning it will gradually depressurize on it's own albeit it will take much longer than manually releasing the valve. The Instant Pot has more button settings but the Insignia can do alot of the same things as the Instant Pot except for air frying. Now for the air fryer part it works pretty good although some items can be harder to cook than other because of how it is designed. An air fryer that loads like a traditional toaster oven I think would be better but for a multi function it does a good job. The heating element is on the lid, and it's not removable as far as I know so cleaning it can be tricky. There are two separate lids, one for pressure cooking and one for air frying. If you use the pressure cooker alot, it's worth it spend a $30-40 extra for this Instant Pot model since it's also an air fryer and better pot than the Insignia and a couple extra convenience features built into it.

Happy owner of over a year. Good for a single adult. Could probably get by with this for 2 people if funds are tight, but to be safe I'd go with 8qt if more than one human.
Wow, the original one is superb already, this one can also be used as air frier… amazing
I got the $50 open box deal two weeks back or so. It's really nice to get some chicken, pressure cook it and without touching the chicken, just pop the air fry lid and crisp it up.

I recently got the 8 qt, and my gripe is that it's too small to air fry more than 1 serving at a time. I can only imagine the 6 qt being too small. With that said, the stuff I did air fry was absolutely delicious, so I'd tell a single adult to jump on this

I really want the 8 qt. Can't seem to find a deal for it, but then again, I haven't looked hard enough.
