From what I understand, yes. I know they fleshed out a lot of later game content. I don't believe they cut anything, or at least anything notable.

Back when source was released people used to say the same thing about CS 1.6 😂.

Man time flies. CS source was awesome though. The community maps were the best. That and "gun game".
Yup! I enjoyed all of them. You just have to practice and get good at the new one. I played source the other day and that feels so weird now.

Pretty amazing- and like others have said, enjoy! Many of the games are dated by now, but there are tons of classics in there. In addition to Portal 1+2 (the must-plays), the Half-Life games are classics. The first might be too dated by now, but the 2nd is still very playable. It probably won't be too revolutionary playing it now, but it was both revelatory and massively influential at the time (as was the 1st). CSGO, TF2, and DOTA2 are all F2P now, but each still has a strong playerbase. the L4Ds are also fun and hold up pretty well to their modern counterparts if you have friends to play it with.

If HL1 is too dated for you, you may wish to check out Black Mesa ($10 as a separate purchase), which is a re-make in the Source engine. I haven't played through it to give a personal review, but it at least modernizes the game to some degree.
I'm playing right now. It's AMAZING

Can I skip HL1 completely and just play Black Mesa and not miss any story things?

Now I am starting to wonder how many times I've bought a valve complete pack over the last 20+ years.
I remember being pumped when I got Orange Box

I think 1.4 was the last good one? Maybe it was 1.5 that screwed everything up and 1.6 was tainted? It's been so long.
