Good price. Just be aware that FitBit eliminated the stairs / floor counter in the Charge 5 in case that's important to you.

Profits don't always correlate with cost at the consumer level. There are many, many reasons why Costco has higher profitability than competitors while at the same time, delivering a lower cost to their customers. A few reasons ...

1. Buying power from suppliers
2. Logistic superiority
3. Staffing overhead
4. Real estate costs
5. Membership fees
6. Select high margin products
7. Partnerships that they take a cut out of
8. Brand loyalty that puts customers buying from them above other retailers

Walmart and Kmart were head-to-head competitors. They offered incredibly similar products, had similar retail footprints (for a time), and paid the same wages. Eventually, Walmart shut down Kmart. It essentially came down to organizational excellence. Walmart had it and Kmart did not.

Frankly, it's no different than Amazon. They eat every other online retailer's lunch primarily due to the operational effectiveness. They have leveraged that advantage over the years so that they can now expand into new market segments. They can be wildly successful while offering the best prices on the products that matter the most.

I hate Fitbit ever since they got bought out. The whole premise of the product is to track data points over time, but if you want to see more than 7 days worth of data you have to buy their subscription service for $10/month.

Suddenly a $110 watch costs you $230 for the first year, or $350 for 2 years. At that point you should have just gotten a real smartwatch.

Don't they all come with a small and a large band? Or does this make it 4 total bands from Costco?

I got this the last time and returned it. It had very inaccurate heart rate when exercising. Worked with Fitbit Helpdesk and they kept having me reset it. Ended up getting a Garmin which I like a lot more.

There's not a watch out there that can provide an accurate reading.

Costco is the most profitable retailers on the planet, it has never lost money. Think about that next time you buy something and "think" you saved money.
On the contrary Costco does lose money in some food items. Like their rotisserie chicken, they have some products that are loss making but they still sell to get more consumers. I personally would stay of Kohls. Don't like their kcash.

Are you saying fitbit charge 5 is the most accurate or that no watch will ever give an accurate heart rate reading?

Search DC Rainmaker's review on YouTube. There's an inherent flaw in the design that prevents the GPS and heart rate monitor to work accurately at the same time.

I picked up a Ninja Bullet 600 from Kohls using Kohls cash and rewards money for $14... Love those Kperks 🤗

Wrist based monitors are generally less accurate than a chest strap monitor. I have a wahoo chest strap monitor that I use along with a fitbit charge 4 now and an apple watch previously. Both are a few bpms off from the chest strap reading, but the apple watch was usually closer to the chest strap readout than the charge 4 i have now
