This is $500 off the normal Costco price and $100 more than the WRX735SDHZ. You lose EnergyStar certification but gain more drawers, freezer space, and in-door ice. Well worth the upgrade IMO.

Came out to $2756.24 for me after tax.

Sale ends February 6th.

Is there such a thing as a 48" free standing refrigerator? Or are you referring to a built in? That would be an entirely different product line.

From reviews

So we bought this fridge for our new home construction in Feb 2019. As soon as the warranty was up (we knew when this happened because the ads from whirlpool started coming for us to reup our warranty at an obscene price) the interior lights started intermittently failing. Super irritating but we put up with it because I wasn't going to pay $500 for someone to fix flickering lights. Now today, Dec 8 2021, our fridge died. It is dead. The refrigerator isn't even 3 years old. Now we get to track down a repair specialist and hope the parts are available to fix our $3k fridge which is now nothing better than a paperweight. Apparently Whirlpool didn't follow the other US companies when they migrated out of the "engineer to fail" business model...

write an entire novel about how poorly designed this fridge is and then follow it up with a sequel based on the quality of the parts. When I bought this fridge I was excited! I did my due dil and loved the fact that it was a Whirlpool as their appliances have never failed me. I purchased this fridge in July of 2019. Six months after purchasing it the leds inside the fridge started failing. Given that the light bulbs are so difficult to replace, as well as the motherboard Whirlpool deemed this fridge "not fixable" and replaced it with a brand new one. I was content with that and chalked it up as a fluke and moved on with contentment. Now let the fun begin! 3 weeks ago I notice my ice maker isn't producing ice. I troubleshoot it by flushing the water line, checking the vents for frost, resetting the fridge, etc. Then one morning the freezer wasn't as cool as it should've been. I checked the temperature and it was 20 degrees. I turned the temperature down and it was always 3-5 degrees warmer than what I had it set at in the fridge and 15+ degrees for the freezer. Finally today a tech came out and filled it with freon and a die to flush out the leak. Apparently good old Whirlpool doesn't want to foot the bill for another fridge until the proof is in the pudding. The leak will eventually surface and most likely it won't be repairable due to the way the coils are welded into the fridge. So I'll be on the third fridge in two and a half years shortly. Thank god I bought the extended warranty because it would've cost at least $1,500 to fix this issue. Don't buy this refrigerator, everything about it is wrong! The cons outweighs the pros by a long shot.
Sounds like a nightmare to deal with. Not discrediting that review experience, but on the flip side my experience has been normal knock-on wood. Haven't had an issue with my fridge which I bought in the middle of the pandemic to replace my Kenmore fridge which decided to crap out due to the terrible LG compressor design.

Definitely get the extended warranty in case things like this happen if you do buy any modern fridge these days.

We had the 25 cu ft version of this refrigerator/freezer and loved it. We only had it for three years as we sold the house, but it performed flawlessly while we had it, and are looking to buy another to replace our horrible, broken side by side.

Costco includes a 2-year warranty with this refrigerator. Pay for it using your Costco Citi card, and you get another two years.
