I have a 1 TB MX 500 for over 5 years that works great.
There are slicker deals, IMHO.
This is dramless. It doesn't control what sectors it rights to to maximize longevity of the unit. I guess not as big of a deal of you aren't using it as a boot drive and fill it with games you'll play but $25 more for piece of mind and a main drive is solid

Promo isn't on the mx500 page
Those codes are or have been ymmv or targeted.

You don't need a promo for MX500.
"At Crucial, we use Micron manufactured NAND, and drives are tested to verify that they meet or exceed internal design requirements and published drive specifications. The Crucial CT2000BX500SSD1 SSD design is based on QLC NAND and customers may expect QLC NAND. Based on material availability, we may also use other Micron NAND to fulfill demand, provided it does meet or exceed published performance and endurance specifications."
