$35? Man I tried to buy one at the height of Covid and it was $60+ and impossible to buy... I'm in for two so I can replace my old thermometer... having a back light is such a no brainer for my kids!

Backlight is a blessing, I've been using the older version for years, without backlight and it's been reliable. People think these must be super accurate. If you want super accuracy, I think mercury ones that go in uncomfortable places or the others that go under your tongue are probably going to be most accurate, otherwise if the reading shows 98 vs 102, you can tell that you have fever or you don't, 98 vs 99 is a huge difference in terms of accuracy but won't make a big difference when you think you have fever or not.

My only complaint is the filters are getting too expensive and original ones are harder and harder to find. Last time I bought LF40US01 for $5.79 for 40 of them, and no, if same person keeps using it, I don't think you have to change them every single time.
