The English dub is what made Cowboy Bebop so popular in the first place. Cowboy Bebop is more popular in the West than it is in Japan.

For anyone new to the series please don't compare the animated one to the live action reboot. The animated series is a whole different animal and well worth your time to watch.

I recommend the dubbed version. It's one of my favorite anime series and I'm not even a particular fan of jazz, which is the what most of the soundtrack is.
