Yup, the fact that the 65 inch model of this was marked down to $999.97 at CostCo with a 5-year warranty makes this a meh deal.

This would have been a good deal if it was for 65inch at $998. Costco has been selling this in store for $999.97 along with additional warranty. However the online price for 65 inch is different

Also can you please tell where is it mentioned about the date time on their website .. I don't see that after I click your link

Definitely a good deal, if you look elsewhere this is going for $1400. Sure maybe Costco once had 65 inchers for $999 but there was some Allstate catch with that, and not everyone has a Costco near them.

This seems like a normal price for 55 inch with Employee discount from Samsung (I picked up the 65 inch for under 1400 and love it), or Costco membership. Any deal on the 85 inch? Have been waiting for it to go below $2k.

Lots of thread crappers here. The 65 inch deal alluded to was very YMMV (link below). This isn't a bad deal if you're in the market.

From personal experiences, avoid online purchases of expensive TVs unless the seller has physical stores like BestBuy, Costco, Sam's club, etc.

Buying directly from Samsung is zero hassle - free returns (including pick-up) for an extended time. Good cashback and Employee discount in case you can get that.

I like these TVs well enough (we have two older models) but be super careful with the one connect cable. If you damage it, it's a small fortune to replace.

The point is, you can get a better TV than this one at this price point, unless you are actually buying it for the flush mount and painting features. If those features don't matter to you, a 65" Hisense U8G would be a better choice for the same price, for both picture quality and gaming. It just wouldn't have the "big name" of Samsung.

LG C1, and it's not even close, but it's also a lot more expensive.
