why spend 180 on apple when you can get anker or similar brand that sound just as good for 20-30$ ?

Clear sounding Apple earbuds? I guess cavemen in the 80s thought VHS tape looked pretty good on screen.

Lol, as a non audiophile I thought for a moment you were gonna compare it to some other audiophile headphones. These sound a lot better than airpods and the b50 has insane bass, although there might be better audiophile headphones at this price.

I really enjoy the B50s I have, but f**k Westone customer service. I lost a tip, and when I reached for a spare, found it was mismolded. I called assuming that was an easy replacement, and a alpha-type jerk kept me on the phone for almost an hour before telling me they wouldn't be covered under warranty and that I might as buy another set retail.

Again, Westone people suck, but their products, at least the B50s I have, are pretty good.

Why spend 7-$15 on xiaomi's when microcenter gives away free Bluetooth headsets?

I own the B30 headphones. I use them 50 hours a week or more. I've had them for about a year and a half. Just a couple weeks ago they started to short out. I am happy with them and would consider buying more if Slickdeals hadn't already filled my closet with various headphones over the last year. However, they aren't true wireless. They are connected via a cord (which is what is now shorting out on mine). The sound quality is good but not great, as compared with the Jabra's I had used before these. A couple times a week the headphones would randomly disconnected and I would have to restart both the headphones and my iPhone to reconnect. Turned all the way up, I usually get 5-6 hours of play time before needing a charge.
How comfortable are they to wear compared to the Jabra?

Is it worth springing for the B50s or should I go for the B30s? Definitely interested in a pair.

Why would I buy a pair of earbuds for $230 when a pair of clear sounding apple earpods only cost like $180?
Huge difference. I have the apple for convenience… there's a night and day difference for sound detail here

I'm just gonna throw this out there since I've been going down the iem rabbit hole the past several months. There are insanely good options under $100 now. Even for less than $30. It helps to know what kind of sound signature you like as it gets to be more personal preference. The timeless is a well reviewed $220 set, but I have two pairs of sub $30 iems I like listening to just as much as the timeless. Welcome to crazy land.

At the sub $100 level you're going to see aria coming up a lot. The lea for $26 on amazon gets close enough where to me they're on the same level if I'm ranking by emotion. But then there are other options, like the tinhifi t3 plus for 70 that are arguably the same level as the aria, but the two are different flavors. There are even more options that I own and don't own, but I'll leave it at that.

The olina at linsoul is coming out for $99, and it looks like it'll be the new sub $100 killer. It uses the same driver from a well reviewed set, the oxygen, which is about 270. It already is getting crazy good reviews from reviewers who got the sets early.

For total wireless sets, the galaxy buds pro are my fav. I actually like every one of the sets I've named so far over the pros, but it's personal preference imo. I have the live, buds+, and pros. All three are different enough, but the pros are way better. Crinacle likes all the galaxy line except the live which he didn't review because they're buds and don't go in the ear. They used to be $130 new on amazon, they're back to 150, but even at that price it's a great deal.

Anyway, gl!

They are fairly similar. I haven't noticed much difference between the two as far as comfort goes.

I've been out of the game for a bit, so many new brands, and this guy has some legendary iem's ranked lower than my $40 jabra's; i'm shocked. What is the community's opinion on this site? I know it's a personal experience but is it just that most of us are not decerning enough? And hype controlled the community before? Or do these rankings actually show the iem's that will get you closest to what the engineer wants you to hear when making the song in the studio? Like the color profile from an expensive TV? Some of these blow my mind? Like, just for example, he has numerous $50-100 iem's ranked 4 level's higher than numerous $800 iem's that are even from the same brand.

You can get a replacement cable. They just snap on to the earbuds.
