This warranty does not cover any kind of damage to the TV, the cost of removal or reinstallation, or burn in on the television screen. Stolen TVs are also not covered.
I found that on thier website but it's contradictory to what's shown on the box on the Buydig website...

There was a similar slick deal a few weeks ago from Secondipity that also had the "CJ" model, so perhaps Costco had an influx of returns to liquidate - they do not typically re-sell returns as open box in store
With that being said, this "refurb" status might have a better chance of being almost like new condition as opposed to other refurb sales on sites like Woot that are more "scratch and dent" of a previous year's model - and thus more of a shot in the dark on what condition you might get if you pull the trigger.
This is better than the LG A1 65" that is the same price at Costco right now. Yes, you go not get the Costco extended warranty you would get if you have the Costco Visa. But that warranty does not cover burn in and still requires you to go through a 3rd party to make a claim (can't just bring it back to Costco if in year 2 something malfunctions).

At least BB open box has a full manufacturers warranty and your CC will most likely double that.
Picked up an open box 65" A8H when they were on sale last for $1,049. Very happy with it.
If you get a manager to help you at BB they are usually more than willing to work with you on the open box pricing.

I ordered two by mistake. Called to cancel the first one and they offered to discount the TV further for me to keep it. I don't need two TV's but a heads up.

Another thing with Best Buy, if you get their extended warranty, they'll usually go even lower. How many hours did your A8H have on it?? Cause most open boxes that old are usually the display model. As long as it doesn't have BI, I personally have no issues with buying a display since I'd be buying their warranty anyway. Many on here have bought LG's that were displays that already have BI. And since it includes the manufactures warranty, they got the screen replaced under warranty lol

I was told it was returned the day before I picked it up. The day it was returned a new one was $2,499. The next day new was on sale for $1,499. The open box, excellent condition was marked $1,599. I showed the manager that it was more than the new and he asked if $1,049 was OK. Done deal.
The last Sony I had added wonderful black lines to the top of the screen only 2-3 years after purchasing it. I am done with Sony.
