This seems like a crazy low price for a name brand thermal imaging monocular. According to Adorama regular price is $3795 but these go online for $2500 - $2800 on a normal day.

Adorama wanted me to send the unit back in to them - and they will replace the defective unit with new stock WHEN they receive new stock from FLIR.
That is all well and good, but before I send the unit back in to Adorama - I want a guarantee that I will get a REPLACEMENT ---- not a REFUND!
What are you all doing?
With replacements there's a big chance you'll get again and again and again a refurbished/defective unit
Cant advise you what to do but you can have your money in limo indefinitely PTM336 is sold out on Adorama.com and not listedt on manufacturer site. If you wait for one you might die of old age before you get it...the next one up is over 3k more. GL having them take a 3k loss and send you a new unit because you use caps and demand a replacement on slickdeals.net
Updated the firmware. The WiFi lags when I host through my phone, but runs smooth to a laptop when hosting through the Scion.
Still unable to record using the Flex button. I think I'm going to record a few videos(Scion host), then send it to FLIR for repairs.
Forget Adorama, they seemed uninterested to help - replied to my email suggesting I stick talking to FLIR Sales instead.

Adorama, your website shows these items are in stock again. Is this new inventory from FLIR? Will you replace the returned items for those of us who would prefer a replacement instead of refund?

I sent mine in for repair the other day. It would appear the model numbers we purchased are no longer for sale through FLIR. Maybe they'll upgrade us to the newer models.
Hope you get it soon. I was considering repair work for mine.
